Coal Creek Field Moleskine notebook covers are made in Washington from premium full grain Wickett & Craig leather. Process starts from cutting leather into desired pieces. We then put the pieces together and sew them using premium thread manufactured in Idaho. Sewn items are then edge-dyed and edge-burnished by hand, one by one. Last step in the process is buffing and polishing by hand to bring the natural beauty of the hide back before packaging. We use American vegetable tanned leather. Vegetable tanning process is the natural tanning process used 100 years ago. Because our leather is natural, you will see animal skin texture and patterns, as well bug bites, scratches, etc. Vegetable tanned leather also created a beautiful patina over time which adds to its natural beauties. Each item ships with a leather certificate that has all the details of the leather used in the product. Make sure to register your items on our website in order to receive exclusive coupons. All items are covered for 5 years against manufacturing or leather defects.
