Great replacement.
The hood lift supports for 2014 Sonata installed easily and function well. One thing, though, the original have a slightly angled socket on the rod end while the replacement have the slightly angled socket on the cylinder end. For this reason the correct installation seems to be rod end down versus the original with rod end up.

Perfect fit
Fit perfectly. No more holding the hood with a stick or my head to check fluids. Not easy to put on. There weren't any instructions. Not much on youtube.

Perfect fit, major improvement over my failing stock struts
The stock struts on my 2011 Sonata have been struggling to not even being able to hold up the hood at all in cold weather. If I would have known how cheap and easy these were to replace, I would have done it a long time ago. All you need is a flat head screwdriver and 2 minutes to install them. Massive difference, they are strong. I actually have to use a little more force than I'm used to to close the hood. But how long will they last? Time will tell. But I'm guessing I will never replace them on this car again.

Holds up hood
I liked the price and I liked that they were easy to install. Lots of videos. There are two ends to each strut. They function similar to a trailer hitch...the hood and body of the car have two little ball-shaped pieces that the ends stap over allowing the connection to rotate as the hood is lifted and closed. The original ends on my Hyundai Sonata 2013 were straight and inline with the strut body. These replacement struts have one end that is angled a little. I thought they might be an advantage...but it left me with the feeling that maybe it wasn't connected as securely as a straight end might be. I left them on anyway and the hood opens and closes just fine.

Good deal
Easy to install and work insanely well for the price. Sonatas are known to have these go out often and I went so long before pulling the trigger on this, I should’ve done it sooner..

WOW installation was EASY PEASY!! Completed in less than 5 min!
First of all, I still cannot believe how ridiculously easy it was for me - a person with no mechanical ability - to install these hood struts!! Prior to this, the only parts I've replaced on my vehicle have been the Cabin Air Filter and Wiper Blades..lol. Prior to ordering the Struts, I watched a 3-minute Youtube video TWICE which gave me the confidence to move forward. Secondly, I am still shocked and appalled that my dealership quoted me a price of $400 ($120 parts/$280 labor) to replace the Hood Struts on my 2011 Sonata!!!! UNBELIEVABLE !!! We installed the struts in less than 5 minutes. Although some people have installed the struts without help, I recommend having a helper for safety reasons. Although I used a piece of wood to hold up the hood, I still had someone to hold the hood just in case, and to secure the fit; you'll need to lift up the hood maybe an inch, which your helper can do. Shipment was the next day, the product appear to be of good quality and the installation was EASY PEASY!
