Amazing Value!
I rarely leave reviews, but this one merits it. I produce comedy shows and needed an affordable, reliable spotlight that would do the job—this has not let me down. I’ve been using it for the last 2.5 months and it’s consistently impressed. This IS a pinpoint spotlight, but for reference, I have it placed high in the back of the room about 35 feet from the stage. The largest aperture setting gives about a 7’ circumference lighting on center stage. I’ve also had it up to 75 ft from center stage where it still had about a 6’ circumference. I’ve had the light on for up to 3-4 hours, it does heat up a bit, but it’s still held up fantastically and it’s nothing a small fan wouldn’t solve. The removable bottom plate is super convenient as well, I normally use it to mount the spotlight onto a 8’ tripod. Overall, no complaints. For the price, you can’t beat this light

great value, mobility, brightness
this product is great if you are looking for a lightweight and bright light at a great price. this is not a $500 spotlight, but better than american djs 3 or 9 watt light. the best feature is the ability to change the amount of light being thrown at the object. this helps with changing the distance from the light fixture to the object being lit.

Great spotlight
We do a Basketball pregame light show and needed a spotlight to recognize the players. Light works great nice and bright. Just takes a little too long to come on and we haven’t had it very long in the cord is already starting to fray.

Not Bright Enough
I do professional lighting for bands. I bought this because I thought it would be nice to have a lightweight small follow spot. Unfortunately it is only as bright as an average flashlight and had no effect when trying to light up a singer from about 20 feet. It would not cut through even when there was very little front lighting to make any difference.

Light smokes
Update number one: I pulled out the COB LED and it had a bunch of brown stuff on it. I initially thought that was just the LED burning, now I suspect that the brown stuff is what is burning. Perhaps the manufacturer caused the brown stuff to be on the LED, and the LED is burning the brown stuff which is causing the smoke. Only a guess. Now the LED won't stay on, it flickers on and off. I suspect that is because of heating issues. I think it needs to be touching the heat sink in order to function. I think it is overheating which is causing the flicker. I put it back together and it is flickering at a different pace than when it was taken apart. So I suspect that is because I removed much of the thermal paste when I disassembled it. Now I will purchase some thermal paste to see if it will stay on. If it does, then I can assess whether my removal of the brown stuff will remedy the smoke issue. Initial review: I bought two of these lights, one recently and one a few months ago. They both look the same from the outside, however my recent purchase smokes. I tore it apart and realized that it has different components than the initial purchase. Specifically, the LED resisters are completely different. In order to isolate the problem, I started swapping parts and the resisters were not the issue. Everything pointed to the LED. The LED smokes regardless of which resister employed. As such, I don't know what I am going to do yet. I may just attempt to rebuild it using the original housing. Not that dumb plastic mount. That thing is trash. In any event, I think I purchased this latest one as an open-box. I am not sure what will happen if I leave it plugged in. Typically smoke leads to fire. Although my fire alarm is good, I don't want to risk it. Basically, the light is incomplete and dangerous but there are some redeeming qualities. Let's trash this design and start from scratch.

Light weight, cool and effective. No The lamp is delivered with a moulded American three pole power connector, practically unfindable this side of the Atlantic, and this is generally used for 115 V AC. As I had toured the States a fair amount I had a couple in my tool box, but this won't always be the case. Still, I hesitated before feeding 230 volts into it, but it worked. I would appreciate a screw thread (either 1/4 inch BSW or 3/8 inch BSW, for use on lighting stands or mic stands,) into the power supply space, as an option over screwing the unit to a beam or wall. Equally, I would like a holder for a gel frame or a shutter to reduce light levels - it runs cool enough that you wouldn't risk melting filters, or cooking fingers . A lot of light in a small space.

It is inexpensive so you can’t expect a high powered light beam. Works well in small room settings and produces a relatively clean beam. Bigger rooms (ballrooms) will stretch its capabilities. Build quality is ok but it can be difficult to mount on a tripod or similar stand — you may need to fiddle with mpunting attachments to find the right one.

Great spot light. Construction looks and feels very good. Light is quite bright. I am using mine to illuminate a flag in the yard about 12 meters away. Only complaint is it is quite pricey.
