Functional. Set it and forget it (your corals will thank you)
I run 4 Kessil A360x’s and 4 54w T5 bulbs over a 6’ tank. I was holding out for the wireless controller or Apex module but I got tired of owning expensive lights and not being able to access the UV/R/G spectrums. The controller is well built, the buttons are responsive, and install was easy. The controller software was not designed by apple. There is a learning curve and somethings are not immediately apparent (set mode to “lunar” to cycle through your chosen preset and lunar mode). There were times when I’d be 90% meticulously programmed in then hit the wrong button and have to start over. All that being said, a $100 for a color display, good build quality, and function makes it a decent value. Granted something more like the EcoSMART live would have been preferred.Once it’s setup it’s done. I appreciate the fact that it all runs on a single USB-C (generic USB-C cables and 90’s work just fine). Would prefer it was all wireless or Bluetooth but oh well. The only thing I don’t really like is that we typically in the pad ran the Red lights on 20-40% on our Radions G4 Pro’s from 7-10 at night so we could watch the nightlife come in the tank (arrow crabs, bristle worms, soldier fish, etc). The red moonlight isn’t very bright and doesn’t work for that. I wish you could set a night setting.

Works well but...
Works well but kind of a pain to figure out. I had to watch several YouTube videos to try and program it. Once you figure it out, like anything is pretty easy to navigate through. I like it but I think this should be included with the kessil lights. The lights alone are by no means cheap. And this being an extra $100... its just really pricey. They should just include this with the expensive lights. Or if you're looking for something a little cheaper I recommend buying the Ai Prime lights.

Works best with only high end lights, odd controls, firmware not for OSX users
I've owned several Kessil products. I bought this specifically for an Kessil A-80 Tuna Sun. I expected this to work right out of the box, but it needed extra non-included parts. The A-80 fixture can only attach to this controller via a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you need an extra cord to do this(it isn't included). The K-link cable is only for use on the newer A360X series lights and the AP700. Only then do you get full control of the entire color spectrum. That being said there is no app for your PC or phone that can be used to create custom user settings for the lights, even though the controller can connect to your computer. You'll need to connect this controller to your computer to reset the unit or update the firmware.....however this does not work with OSX.The programming mode is quite hard to navigate, even with a touch screen. It's not very intuitive and unless you watch a 30+ minute video on using the thing, there are no instructions included to solve even the most basic programming questions. With other companies out there making wifi enabled controllers, this seems like a huge step in the wrong direction by Kessil.Unless you have a a huge aquarium with a huge amount of of identical top of the line Kessil lights, this product isn't for you.

Great for corals!
Fits easily, preset themes make it easy to use for beginners.

Not as useful as I Imagined
The firmware is quiet confusing, could be a little more suggestive as how to setup and what are recommended colors/ variations you may use and what function that may have of your reef aquarium

Good controller
Good controller, after a first slight learning curve it's quite easy to use. (I'm currently using it on a aquamedic qube 50 instead of my kessil a80)

Great replacement for WiFi
If you’re used to the Wi-Fi dongle by Kessil, this is a breeze to setup. Takes a little tinkering at first to navigate then smooth sailing. I didn’t like the Wi-Fi dongle because it only runs on 2.4ghz, and once you set your lights, there’s not much reason to change the settings anyway. Great replacement for the Wi-Fi add-on and very pleased overall with this device for my A360X lights.

Works great...but
Controller works great and does what it's suppose to. Easy set up. Pretty much set and forget unless you wanna tinker with the intensity of the lights through the whole day.If you don't like cables and trying to hide them, like me, wait for the wifi doggle to come out sometime during 11/19
