Very very cute. Gave it to my little girl (9 yo) for Christmas. All pieces fit together well, and none were hard to open. It was perfect. One month later, the top half of the largest doll has suddenly become too large to close with the bottom half. I’m guessing it has to do with the wood shrinking or swelling based on air humidity, perhaps. Kinda disappointing but she doesn’t seem to mind.

Largest doll was closed so tightly I had to open it with a knife. One of the smaller dolls had broken wood on the part where it opens and closes. I think they were pretty though so I'm going to exchange for another one. Hopefully it will open and close correctly, if not, I will be sad because they are such cute dolls. I may just keep exchanging until I get one that works right.

Small, cheaply made. Not hand painted but decals. Smaller than I thought. I ordered them for my toddler, so she liked them. To return them, I would have lost 6$ on shipping, so I just kept them. If you want a nice set of Russian nesting dolls, spend more money for something better.

Extremely hard to open, the strawberries seem to be a stick-on, then painted over, made in China vs Russia and the last bit is all you need to know about the quality.

The large doll will not close, this is upsetting. It was also very hard to open when we unboxed it.
