Schick Silk Effects Plus Razor 1 Each

I love Silk Effects and have been using it for over 20 years to shave when needed. It produces a clean shave without much effort and I like that it is not electric. The blades are easily replaceable, even if the razor is getting worn and old. If the blade has worn out after a few months, just pop on a new razor and the shave is clean and good as new again. I highly recommend this shaver.

I have been using this silk effect razor since the late 90s. They have never disappointed me. Can’t find them in the stores, but Amazon came through. I purchased this item several times. I also buy the refills on Amazon.

I have been using this razor for over 20 years now. The razor has fine wires wrapped around the blades that really help give you a Knick free and smooth shave! It’s very rare when I do knick my skin. I could no longer find this razor in the store as Walmart was the last retailer I was able to purchase about 8 years ago. I tried several other brands and types on the market however none could compare. Shortly after I discover I could purchase the razor and refills on Amazon and it’s been a wrap ever since! Try this razor you won’t regret it!

Nice smooth shave

I've used this razor for years since it's easy to hold, smaller blade width area and with the small wire guards it makes it MUCH SAFER to use to avoid nicking sensitive and private areas, you still have to be careful, but it's way less dangerous compared to some razors. A certain big box store used to carry this razor near my house, but they quit! Thank goodness it's on Amazon! Make sure you keep it in a well drained and dry area of your shower as over time water can build up near where the razors attached and can mold. I keep mine upside down now in a rack, instead of in the suction wall bracket so it drys and drains. I replace the actual handheld part every few months. But you can also place it in boiling water occasionally I've found to help with sanitizing between blade changes.

To start with, I'll use this to shave my face because my old Schick Protector handle broke when I dropped it. I wanted this handle because it was simply purple, and uses the Silk Effects blades, which are a double blade with micro safety wires wrapped around them. The Protector Blades have been discontinued, but I've been using identically constructed Silk Effects blades for years. Yes, while everybody has been forced to use 3,4,5 blades, I'm still using 2. Those many-blade cartridges gouge and slice my skin. If they cut my beard closer, I don't care because I emerge from the bathroom looking like I stepped off the set of The Walking Dead.Two points that are bit askew on this particular razor handle. A)The listing shows a simple purple handle, it is decorated with flowers and a butterfly. Not a big deal: I'm secure in my masculinity. B) it is supposed to come with 2 re-fills. NO, it comes with two blades, not 3. Re-fill implies the razor is already full, thus 2 refills would mean 3 blades total. There is 1 in the razor and another in the package = 2.

If this model stops being made before I die, I will die with hairy legs because I don’t ever want to use anything else. You honestly have to TRY to cut yourself with this razor. Love it. Have been buying refills it for over 10 years.
