Kreg Shelf Pin Jig with 5 mm Drill Bit

Works well - I would recommend applying some masking tape or other similar product to the area you are drilling to avoid any chip out.

Great product quick and simple to use. If your looking to build shelves or units this will make the process a lot easier.

Excellent. Accurate and quick & very well made

The description says that it comes with a 6mm drill bit, so I ordered 6mm shelf pins to go with it. Upon making the holes, I discover that the pins won't fit. Checked the packaging to find that I'd received the 5mm version. Now stuck with a used 5mm tool and an opened box of 6mm shelf pins.

After making a similar jig from wood, I decided that I needed the consistency of metal guides for the drill and opted to buy the jig. This jig worked well using the pin as a guide for consecutive holes....but my cabinet is 1.8m and I found that the holes were out by 3 mm over that length which I was dissapointed in. This would be good if you only have a dozen holes.

This came with a bent drill bit straight out of the packaging. Amazon refunded without question which is fab, but it delayed my build by several days whilst a new bit arrived.Lesson learned, check it before you need it.Looks good otherwise.

Kreg tools are good useful kit if a bit pricey. A box would have been a bonus. None the less there are positions on back of kit to store bits.
