Timex Women's T21854 Pleasant Street Two-Tone Stainless Steel Expansion Band Watch

I love this watch. I have had mine for over 6 years. My mom bought it for herself in New York but when she came home to Jamaica, I saw it and fell in love so she gave it to me. In a full circle moment, I bought back the same watch from Amazon for her birthday in 2023. Ofcourse, she loved it and she hasn't had any complaints. Its a quality watch and its worth the money. Even after 6 years my watch still shines. I retired it now for another Timex T2M570.

I ordered this watch for my wife as a replacement for her watch that finally quit working. I read all the specifications and reviews but could not get a clear understanding of the band size. One review quoted 5.5" but wasn't clear whether the watch was included or not. Several others stated they were unable to get the band adjusted at their local jewelers. For others, the watch didn't run when received or only ran a short time after they bought it. Some of these buyers said they could not replace the battery.OK., here's the actual facts as I determined them after buying this watch: the circumference of the band plus attached watch is @ 6.5", so measure the buyer's wrist and if it's less than 6.5", this is NOT the watch for them. I've adjusted a lot of watch bands during my lifetime and after examining this watch carefully with a magnifier, concluded that the band is NOT designed to be shortened. It possibly could be shortened with great expertise but that would likely damage the band's appearance to some degree. I don't know what the largest wrist size this watch would fit but it would possibly stretch to fit up to an 8.5" inch wrist but I don't know if it would still be comfortable to wear under that much tension.Regarding battery replacement: Since the watch was too large for my wife's 5.5" wrist, we returned it for a refund and did not even see if it would run. Nonetheless, I examined the watch case and noted that it has a small recess that is designed to facilitate removing the back of the watch, so my assumption is that the battery could be accessed and replaced, if needed and a appropriate replacement battery could be found.

I bought this watch to replace a similar watch which stopped working after several years of use. I am a nurse, so I need a watch with a second hand when counting pulses and respiratory rates. I also need the water resistant feature because of frequent hand washing. When I previously worked nights I also chose watches with the light-up feature, but I no longer need that feature. The face of the watch is easy to read. The watch is attractive, goes well with all of my clothes and jewelry, and can be worn for both casual and formal occasions. The band is also large enough to fit comfortably on my large wrist. I prefer stretchy bands like this because I can put them on and take them off quickly and easily, they don't make me sweat like leather bands do, and they don't cut into my skin like the Italian link bands do.

I like the watch , but it was delivered along ways from my address. The person who got the pkg was kind enough to bring it to me!!!! I did not like this!

I expected this watch to fit perfectly, but it is a tad tight on my wrist. I like to wear it when I am wearing "mixed pieces of gold and silver jewelry" because it ties everything together. I have other Timex watches and there are no issues with the band, so I've just been trying to ignore it, but always find myself pulling at it, because it pinches me so much. Oh well---it does keep excellent time!

I am so disappointed with this watch. I have loved this particular Anna Avenue watch for years! I got one many years ago and it was the best watch I ever had. I wore it 24/7 without a problem. Then it was stolen at the gym! I received the same watch last Christmas, but it kept stopping. The battery was replaced, but it did not fix the problem! I thought it must be a dud. So I decided to buy another one myself. It worked great for 35 days, but since has been stopping 5-6 times a day! Of course it didn’t stop working until 5 days after the 30 day return window!! I hate to spend $14 on a new battery again if it not going to help, like last time! I was tempted to buy another, but then I would probably have 3 that didn’t keep running! I guess I will have to send it to Times with my $8 to have it refurbished, but it really ticks me off! It is brand new, after all! And how long will I be without a watch? What has happened to Times! They used to be so reliable! I love this pretty watch, but I am so disappointed that it keeps stopping!

The two will go with everything. The face is small but easy to read with glasses. The band will take a little getting use to. I like that it is dressy enough but can be sporty too. Now we’ll see if it can take a lick in’ and keep on tick in’.

… but the band at the bottom of the face pinches the hairs on my arm. Maybe that’s indicative of an elastic watch band but I’m gonna give it a try.
