Perfect Guitar for My Son’s 15th Birthday – Amazing Sound & Quality
I purchased the Ashthorpe Full-Size Cutaway Thinline Acoustic-Electric Guitar Package in black for my son’s 15th birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with this choice! From the moment he unboxed it, we were both impressed by the sleek, stylish design and premium feel of the guitar. The black finish gives it a modern, professional look that stands out beautifully. Sound Quality: This guitar delivers rich, warm tones both acoustically and when plugged in. The premium tonewoods truly enhance the sound, making it comparable to much more expensive guitars. The cutaway design also allows for easy access to the higher frets, which my son really appreciates. Playability: The thinline body makes it comfortable to hold and play, even for extended practice sessions. The action was set up nicely right out of the box, and the included accessories made it easy for him to get started right away. Value for Money: This package includes everything needed to start playing immediately, which is a huge bonus. The quality of the guitar far exceeds expectations for the price, making it a fantastic option for both beginners and intermediate players. Overall, this was the perfect gift for my son, and he hasn’t stopped playing it since! If you’re looking for an affordable yet high-quality acoustic-electric guitar, I highly recommend this one. Five stars all the way!

Cute Salmon Guitar with a little buzz/ring
Full and honest review: This guitar is super cute. I love the color and the maker even went to the effort of making these strings a pink color as well. It was a nice touch, and you can tell that the guitar was designed with care. I've purchased quite a few discount guitars over the past few years, I will say this particular guitar had the most buzz/ring to it. It. Usually when people complain about discount guitars, they complain about a buzz/ring that comes out when you strum it. Oftentimes I cannot hear that, but I could on this guitar. With that being said, I still play it all the time and I even like the ring a little bit for some of the things I play. I also would like to add that this is a little bit harder for me to play. It hurts my fingers more than some of my other guitars, but I don't think that is due to the fact that it is "cheaply made". My $400 guitar is just as hard to play. I also wanted to note that this is in fact a salmon color. The pearl circular thing in the middle is also stunning. Every time I get a new guitar it will not hold a tuning as well as my older guitars and this one was no exception. So the first few times I played it, I had to do some serious retuning. I love the guitar and I might order another one. As much as I love this, I will say, that - if you don't care about the looks of your guitar - there are other discount guitars for only maybe $20 more on Amazon that are generally better quality, but don't have the electronics. I want to give this a 5 star review because someone clearly went to the effort of trying to make an affordable acoustic electric so that average people can afford a decent quality experience, and I'm here for it. Heck, I've been searching high and low for a pink guitar for the past year that would actually some decent at an open mic and I finally have it. Thank you, Ashthorpe.

Great guitar for the money
Packed well. I think it's fantastic for the price. Some of the Frets were sharp. I used a nail file to dull them. 2 of the string pegs needed to be pushed in. A couple of cosmetic blemishes you'd never notice unless you inspected closely. The sound is amazing. So far I'm very happy I bought it

Great for a beginner
I have been a musician for most of my life, but mostly wind instruments. I have been wanting to learn how to play the guitar for years. I have an Ibanez acoustic that I have tried to learn on multiple times over the years, and while it is a pretty good guitar it is difficult to learn on. The action and string tension are both high, and the neck is pretty thick. I am over 50 years old, and it is going to take a while before I have the dexterity, and finger strength to really play that guitar well. I also have an electric guitar which is much easier to play due to the action, and neck thickness. So, I thought I would try to find an acoustic with similar features to the electric. I watch a few review videos about this guitar which were very good reviews. I saw one bad review that was around the action not being set as well as the reviewer would have liked, but that is definitely a topic for a much more advanced player than me. I also read the reviews here on Amazon where the saddle got pulled off, or the head stock breaking. This worried me some, but the good outweighed the bad so I thought I would give this guitar a try, and I am glad I did. To avoid the saddle / head stalk issues I tuned the guitar very slowly to prevent putting any unnecessary tension on the guitar. I didn't run into those issues. I have had this guitar for about 3 weeks now and there is no sign of breakage. I have been "hitting" the strings pretty hard as well. The neck is a little thinner, and the action is set great for a beginner. The B and high E strings (bottom two) may need a little adjustment on the action. I get a little more fret buzz on those two strings, but again I am a beginner, so I probably just need to "practice, practice, practice". There are some reviews out there that talk about the frets needing a little maintenance as they are a tiny bit wider than the finger board. I can feel this, so it is true. Right now, it isn't an issue for me, and if it becomes an issue then it is a pretty simple fix to sand them down For a thin line guitar, the sound is still pretty full. A full body "dreadnought" style guitar is obviously going to sound better, but this guitar is much easier to play and learn on. I can't really speak to the electronics on this guitar yet. I really haven't used them, and don't know enough about them to give a good opinion. I don't want to steer anyone in the wrong direction by guessing. The one downside I have had so far is that the high E string broke while I was doing the initial tunning. Like I said, I tuned it really slowly. Tightened the strings some, let it sit for a while so the string could stretch, then rinse and repeat. The high E was probably still 2 or 3 steps too low, so nowhere near to where it should be, and it popped. The guitar came with an extra set of strings, so I just put a new one on. But it would have been nice to not have to replace a string before I even got a chance to play it :-) Bottom line, IMO, this is a fantastic guitar for a beginner, and for $100 it is a great deal.

So needed this for a class. Unfortunately, the box was in pretty bad shape when it came. However contents inside were not damaged apart from a minor wood chip and some scratches. If you are going to use this for performances, I would recommend a more expensive guitar (or a really expensive amp) as the guitar in general has a bit of a higher tone. However, it's great for beginners and the electricity system to a singular speaker/amp or even to a system works pretty well. The strap was not cut enough, therefore I had to make the hole slightly bigger in order to put it in. The aux cable is great long which allows you to walk around.

Really took a leap of faith on this guitar. Upon receiving it, the fit finish and feel was above what I was expecting. I’ve had it for a few months and the tuners keep things in tune. When hooked up to an amp, there is no noise or buzzing. I’ve since recommended guitar to a couple other buddies.
