The padded cover is nice and seems VERY durable. It is NOT covered in fabric which was my concern when they said "padded cover." It, along with the pages seem like they are probably very water resistant. The pages are thick enough that a child cannot tear them up but are not TOO thick. The size of the book is marvelous to read to a child as it is big enough for you to see to read AND for them to see all of the illustrations. You can spread it over your lap AND their lap so it is easy for both of you to see. It is the perfect size! I bought this as a gift (as well as a stuffed bunny to go with it) for a relative that just had a baby and I can't wait to send it to them. I KNOW it will be huge hit! The price for the quality of this was a real deal! I am so pleased!

But this is a lovely pastel board book with padded covers for a great price, and it was one of several for a baby, so I gave it a chance.It is a beautiful book. And I was delighted to see I didn't have to be sedated after reading it. It has a very nice ending. Lovely story, lovely book.

I bought a bunch of books for my toddler, but this book...this one was for me. This was such a childhood favorite of mine that I had to buy it, and I couldn’t wait to share with my own son. I love this book just as much now as I did 25 years ago as a little girl. Such a wonderful, classic story with beautiful artwork.

It's a lovely story, and the board book edition is really impressive. It's quite a large size (check the measurements), with thick sturdy pages and very vibrant pictures throughout. My 9 month old loves turning the pages and looking at the great big images!

This is a beautiful book for the price! If you want to gift a book able to be handed down this is it. The story of the Velveteen Rabbit is a treasured tale about real love.

My 22 month old great granddaughter has a stuffed bunny as her "blanket" and has several other bunnies so I thought this book would be perfect for her. My granddaughter says my great granddaughter loves this book.

This is a beautiful book. I purchased it as a gift for my 5 month old granddaughter. She already loves books and will enjoy the vivid colors. It is as sturdy as it is pretty, so I think it will hold up well to her "help" when reading. It is a lovely story, and I look forward to reading it to her!

I never read this as a child but bought it when I heard the story as an adult. Really beautiful book for my mother daughter story time at night.
