Did their job on bed iron
Angle iron from bad frame is hard high-carbon steel that burned or blunted many so called metal bits I tried.I am a novice at drilling hard metal and learned to drill SLOWLY and use lubricant and no more than a few pounds of force on the drill press. "Smoke" means "Slow Down Or Stop" : )Don't Force It! THESE drill bits are far more forgiving than the previous cheapy 'metal drills' and after some 50 holes very little degradation noticed. I now can even manage 1/4" holes WITHOUT a pilot hole which I was forced to use before. THough it was advised against, I even manged to drill holes with a hand held drill, though the hardness of these bits I assume mean they may be brittle and break with off-axis forces if I do much of that..I use a cheap overhead drill press which will stall if the bit catches as it goes though.A fancier drill press with more torque managed to snap some of my previous bits,(not these- did not try) just so you knowNow Learning what the various noises and curled swarf means when I am doing it right.[Making 30 brackets to hold up fencing FYI]

Field test results.
Just a weekend warrior working on landscape project. Making a footbridge from two 12” steal Ibeams and 2x8s. Drilled 2 holes each end every 6” to secure wood decking. As experiment bought Bosch, Dewalt, and these bits. I was surprised that one of these bits did half the work. The other half burned up the other listed “name brand” bits and I used one of these to finish.Impressed I am. Great value.

Good value
This is good - I have not any real complaint. It should be clearer that these are made in China - and are actually a metric close equivalent. They are not exactly the english size.

Worked awesome on my hardened steel track Bars and four links for tapping the inside faceplates

Excelent !
I was frustrated with the quality of drill bits I found locally Could not get through a single job with a single drill bit So I ordered 10 of these expecting to burn up one or two To my shock and surprise the first bit cut through the metal quickly and was as sharp as when I started with it

Doing great drilling pilot holes
I was using bits from the local big box brick and mortar store but could only drill about 5 to 10 holes before they were dull and no longer cutting...I am drilling out spot welds on an old car restore job. After getting these in I drilled out 3 times as many with the 1 bit and it was still going when I finally got them drilled out. Great buy for the money.

They Work Great
I use these to drill a lead hole for larger bits. They speed up the drilling process.

Doesn't phase stainless steel.
Thought this was for stainless steel, among other metals. No so, from my experience.Trying to drill through a 5/8 inch stainless steel carriage bolt, that was already drilled through about 3/4 the way. Tried 2 of the bits, to no avail.

Decent, sharp, not too brittle
Drilled mild steel very well, less progress in harder grade but very decent for price and that is what i wanted. Bought these to drill pilot holes for cutting spot welds and other odd tasks so no complaints.

In my experience, steel is too hard. Did not try other materials it claims to drill.
Tried to drill through steel, unsuccessfully. Resorted to Smaller drill bits already in my possession, wishing I'd not purchased the box of identical bits. Disappointed in the product which did not deliver, sadly. However, I now have a supply of drill bits which might perform on other less challenging material?! Only time will tell. This item is the first purchase that's failed to please.

Budget priced drills.
Haven't given them much use yet, but the little use they've had, results were quite acceptable. Used to drill small orifice in 3/8" brass disks.
