If the crack is about 12 inches up and down, with a pea-sized divot, will this kit work?

Once your windshield has spider cracks, this kit will not work. This kit is for the initial divot as it keeps the integrity of the windshield from spider cracking. Unfortunately, once the windshield crack spiders, it needs to be replaced.

Only have a divot, about 1/16" across, about 1/32 deep, will this do the job?

I had about the same size chip. I watched the YouTube video and made the repair. It worked out fine, on the outer windshield it’s smooth and I cannot feel the damage, but looking through from the inside, I can still see a few spider webs, not a lot but enough to notice. Hopefully the damage will not spread.
