I bought this for my coffee table as it doesn’t have a protective coating and I was super sick of coasters. I love this thing! I can put anything on the coffe table and not worry, it’s easy to clean and hasn’t been stained by red sauce yet. It does slide around a bit, but to be expected

The desk pad worked out great after trying to get it to stay flat. It protects my wood desk and looks and cleans great. I would recommend to others.

My large dark blue desk mat arrived quickly. Instructions were provided to assure it would lay flat after unrolled. It is made of good quality material and very pleased with it!

Many of us have had not-so-great experiences with Amazon products from foreign sources, particularly China, that just don't live up to the bombast of the product summaries and the glowing 5-10 word five-star reviews on the Amazon product page. I know I have. Once burned, twice shy, as they say. Or in my case, all too often much more than twice.That said, the fact that this item was NOT manufactured offshore was of immediate interest to me. I purchased a new desk several months ago and although I do have a desktop-sized transparent overlay for it, the glare and reflection from the overlay was disconcerting to say the least. This pad appeared to be just what the doctor ordered. Was it? Read on...THE GOOD:Delivery was right on time, thank-you to Amazon.The pad came rolled up, but after unrolling and putting it on the desk it flattened out completely in a couple of hours. This is important, at least to me: the plastic overlay I had ordered to cover the desktop (see above) also came rolled up; unfortunately it also possessed "memory" to the point that even after three months and more, it still doesn't lie completely flat. This desk pad does. Perfectly.It is apparently reversible--either side up. This is important to me because my drug of choice happens to be coffee which I drink by the potful while working at my desk. One of the previous reviews mentioned that this pad repels liquids and doesn't stain easily. I don't plan on testing that out but you never know. This is like having two pads for the price of one: any discoloration caused by my sloppiness can be rectified by just turning it over.It is attractive: I have the brown side up and the fact that it is NOT shiny or reflective is a real positive. Color is consistent throughout: no areas where the color is darker or lighter was noted. Also, the monogram on the right front corner adds a touch of elegance.The "feel" is consistent with real leather; not glass-smooth nor too rough. My mouse works just fine on it.THE NOT-SO-GOODNothing, really--at least not yet after two weeks of ownership. No unpleasant surprises.I would, however, recommend a mouse pad. Even though the mouse works just fine without one, a pad would probably go a long way toward preventing discoloration. I rest the heel of my hand on the surface while running the mouse, and oil, sweat, whatever else living on my hand could conceivably transfer itself to the area my hand impacts with time. It hasn't happened to me yet, and likely never would, but why take the chance? A $4 dedicated mouse pad is cheap insurance.THE BOTTOM LINE:It seems sort of unfair NOT to give this product five stars considering performance to date, but two weeks is not long enough to assess how it performs over time, so I am giving it four stars. I'll revisit this in six months: if it continues to perform as I think it will I will up my assessment to the full five stars.In the meantime...I strongly recommend this product. It fulfilled my expectations, and more.

Out of so many options chose this mat based on the positive reviews, sizes and colors offered, delivery speed. A+ so far!
