Wiener Schnitzel is very yummy and so easy to make with this mix!

For authentic German schnitzels, this is the absolute best breading. I have used this for many years and the quality is always top notch. For guest dinners I really appreciate having a product I can count on to always make my menu perfect.

Prior to finding this product, I did a lot of playing around with various means of breading chicken and pork cutlets. I eventually settled on milk, flour, egg breadcrumbs, then pop in food dehydrator to drive off surface moisture, then fry. The breading would stay on, even if eaten cold from the fridge on a cutlet sandwich. Local carnicerias had milanesa de pollo that didn't look like the result of that process and theirs consistently fried up without any loss of coating. I can't imagine that they'd go through that whole rigamarole for 20 lbs of chicken at a time. That got me wondering if there was some pre-made product that was less work and less mess for good results. This product is dead easy, I just pound out the cutlet in an oiled plastic wrap envelope, dredge it on a piece of parchment paper, immediately shallow-fry it. Results are at least 90% as good as doing the whole process above with no dishes. Flavor is inoffensive, not too salty or too sweet. Adhesion is pretty good.

Nothing we don’t like. Of course we can make from scratch and have for years but with eggs, milk and bread crumbs or panko, double breaded, it takes time. We use it during holidays in Mex as it makes an easy dinner rather than shopping for the bread crumbs and such. (Pork in Mex is generally soo good). Kids take it when camping or to the cabin. It’s a very convenient solution with good flavor. Perfect with Potato Cucumber Salad. Dinner done! Will ay it isn’t the cheapest though. 😀
