Chilling Stones - Set of 9 Grey Whisky Chilling Rocks in Gift Box with Muslin Carrying Pouch - Made of 100% Pure Soapstone

I chose to order this set versus all the others in stores and online because of the packaging and price. It came in an actual box that could be wrapped and given and the packaging is of very good quality. It opens up kind of like a book, and includes instructions listed on the back. The rocks have smoothed edges and are what they promise to be. This particular set looks more high-end than some others I have seen in stores (cardboard packaging with a very basic bag inside...some look cheap and the stones are not as smooth). I have not tried these in an actual drink yet.

They're nice little stone blocks. They look neat and the kids loved that they were like real little minecraft stone blocks, but in terms of keeping my whiskey chilled? Not really. Maybe better for slightly chilled scotch. But after experimenting I went back to ice in either large balls or large cubes to cut down the melting surface area.Like I said, if you want a slight chill, maybe, but these things aren't going to keep your American whisky cold on a summer day.Now the kids use them as toys.

I ordered this product as a gift for my friend.The seal is broken on the box. I am very disappointed.

For the price, a good buy. Nice that they can be stored in a small cloth sack to keep them together instead of a bulky box (which they were shipped in; but the box itself is sturdy and attractive). The stones keep a drink cool for a while, long enough so you don't have to scoff it down. Takes a little practice to use the right amount of stones for different sized drinks.

I thought these were a cool idea so I got them. I should have done my research. They do not get my whiskey noticably cold, even when I place 4-5 cubes in my glass. I think they look neat but I could have picked up some rocks from the local river for free. I've just purchased an ice mold that looks more promising than these. For the price I'd buy some large ice molds to chill your adult beverage instead.

i drive from site to site and have a very active job, need and want cold drinks while working. i expected this product to keep my drink cold for about 5 hours and it did not. i might as well not have had them after about 2 hours.

The box looks great, like a book, the quality of the rocks is perfect, after a pre-soak and freezing it doesnt take much to get the right temperature.

Excellent gift for person(s) of all ages who has everything. Item is uniquely packaged; conveying a much higher value than purchase price.
