Much better than any magnetic holder I've tried in the past.
Peel off the back and stick.Placed it right behind my steering wheel on the dash so it remains in me eyeline, bit like a HUD.Bit of reflection on the windscreen but apart from that, it does the job.

Better for phones than satnavs
I got this product for when I went on holiday and got the measurements which if correct would have fitted my satnav in, however it didn't really fit I had to squeeze it in and then it tilted forward. It would be great for a phone but not a satnav.

Works well for using your phone as a satnav
Tried it out for the first time today, held my phone firmly in place (Moto G7). Seems to stick well. No issues when I got a few bumps. I'm happy.
