I'm liking this curvy, one-piece object
Having lived with this for about a month now, I would say that I am liking the design and the execution of it. The photo in the listing does not do it justice. The tray is is made of melamine, which means it's a rigid, light, rugged, thermally insulating monolithic object (no seams) that cleans up nicely. I use it as a dishwasherable placemat daily. If I were carrying drinks on it, I might also appreciate the tiny gutter formed into its perimeter, which looks like it could collect a little spill in case of accident. A nice detail of the back/bottom of the tray is that it has a slightly raised edge around the perimeter (which is the underside of what looks like a little gutter from the top), which holds the tray off the surface it's placed on, so you won't get "suction" of this tray if placed on a wet counter, as you might with a flat-bottom tray. On the top side, the angle of the handles is fairly flat and the lip of the tray is fairly low, so that it is not awkward to place large bowls that overreach the end of the tray and ride up on the handles.

Works well
Plastic, not the same material as the plates but looks good, and with this size, I feel much more comfortable with the plastic type material.Handles are a good size, but as others have said, slippery things can move around on it. So I won't be using this to carry other tableware, but it will be outstanding for burgers, steaks, corn on the cob, and other foods.Despite the material difference between this and the plates, the match is outstanding. Only real difference is the lines are a little darker and more solid on this than on the actual plates. But for anyone who's got other sets like I do, the slightly faded patterns aren't anything new, and expected...For the price, no question, well worth it.

Functional lightweight tray
I wanted to set up a little tea station in my bedroom but I wanted something to protect my night stand against spills. This tray works perfectly! The design is very zen and the tray is large enough to house two of Corelle's matching Small Canister/Jars filled with loose leaf tea, my Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle, and my Zen Infuser Tea Mug comfortably. Mine doesn't move around much but it's also strong enough to lift all of these items (when filled!) without flexing. The lip around the edge is large enough to prevent run-off but small enough to be unobtrusive. Wipes clean easily, recommended!

Tray
I'm not sure about this tray yet. I love the size. That is perfect. The design is correct except the hearts should be blue not purple. That upsets me. And I really thought it would be the same glass as my dishes. But I don't dislike it enough to send it back. It is a keeper and I think I might see other things they have. So all said and done it's ok.Kathy hall

just what I wanted
My husband grew up always using trays around the house, and after a few visits to his parents' house, I'm hooked too. I wanted a good size tray with a slight lip that was easy to carry and didn't show wear too quickly, and these fit the bill perfectly. I can easily fit snacks or a full meal set-up on the tray, and it's easy to carry, doesn't get messed up even from hot dishes, and cleans easily. The only flaw I see is that the tray is slick plastic, so bowls and things will slide on it, certainly more than those textured cafeteria-style trays that my in-laws use. But these are just so cute, it doesn't matter to me! I might buy e few of those rubber circles (that are used to open jars or hold hot things) to use underneath bowls and things to keep them in place.

All things old are new again
Hi Fellow Shoppers,Almost 50 years ago I had my first Corelle dishes and I loved them. The kids were little and the dishes were virtually indestructible. Fast forward many years and arthritis is begging me to go light. So, I recently replaced my beautiful but heavy everyday stoneware with Corelle Splendor and I love it!! It's lightweight, has a cool design and with two shelf organizers, service for12 fits on one shelf in my kitchen cabinet. I've used the melamine tray for appetizers and received many compliments. We love it!

Perfect for my purposes
My husband and I just moved to Florida and we mostly dine outside on our patio. During dinner we usually have a few plates, cups, and some condiments on the table so we have to make a few trips to the table to set it up and again later to clean up. I had been thinking of buying this tray before we moved because I have the matching plate set by Corelle but didn't know if I would use the tray. Once we moved to Florida I realized it could cut down on the trips. It's a little smaller than I though, it won't fit two of the smaller plates, but it does work well for carrying the cups and condiments. It would also work well as a coffee serving tray to put coffee cups and cream and sugar on when we have guests. Overall I'm very happy with this purchse. The tray seems solid (not flimsy)and fairly durable.
