This is the second filter I am using with my DuPont WFQT390005 QuickTwist 3-Stage Drinking Water Filtration System and I can not be happier. The convenience, dependability and most importantly water quality are unbeatable. I strongly believe this system is better than bottled water considering the toxic residue left in plastic bottled water. My family uses it not only for drinking but also cooking water and any related kitchen needs. Strongly recommend.

Good product

I "inherited" this filter system when I purchased this house. When a year rolled around I replaced all the kitchen filters including this one. I worked for a time in the water treatment industry and don't really know why this was installed. The primary purpose of a carbon block filter is to remove odors (chlorine and sulfur) and sediment as well as some other chemicals from the water. We are on a municipal water system and these were not a problem. The main culprit here is dissolved calcium better known as hardness. These filters will do nothing to lessen or eliminate hardness, but since I had it I will use it. I have already installed a softener. My next step is to change this filter over to a RO (reverse osmosis) system for drinking/cooking water.

Seems to work like it should.

Changed the filters since water taste started having chlorine. Took a few days after the filter change but normal taste returned. We used the original filters about 2.5 years.
