These work prefect for mounting rope lights all around my deck rails. My rope lights measure just a smidgeon under 1/2 in in diameter with calipers.Fyi, I have used these clips in the past, and I just use black drywall screws instead of the (PITA) 'tiny' screws that came in pkg. Just drive them in at a somewhat slower speed. No need to drill out hole!My previous set (different brand but look exactly the same) lasted approx. 8-9 years in the torturous Colorado sun. Some did break when I took them down to restain my deck recently. Hense, this repurchase.

I used these for some LED lights we purchased . The opening in the clip was to big so the lights kept falling, ended up buying some different ones from our local 99cent store.

Used these clips for the making of this star. Worked extremely well for holding the rope in a straight line and helping support and form corners. I also liked how the design automatically hides the screws by holding the rope light over top of them

I installed and 33 foot rope lighting on my deck and used the Clips to hold in place! Installation went quickly and the clips really do hold the entire 33 foot length perfectly straight and look professionally installed. Each clip has two screws so very strong. Heading in to winter weather, but believe the clips will hold up very well. Would recommend purchasing to anyone stringing led rope lighting. Mine is under the railing along the entire outside of my deck, and the soft or more yellow lighting we purchased really gives the look of our new deck a classy look!
