Gamesa Surtido Rico Assorted Cookies, 15.43-Ounce (Pack of 12)

Several times now, I've purchased Mexican cookies at a nearby Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market. They've been quite good. A few nights ago, I bought a good-sized box (15.4-ounces) of deluxe assorted cookies. The box was the same as this one illustrated except that you could remove the external cover to reveal a gift box and there were gift stickers that came along with it. Not a bad idea. They'd make a good gift. However, I found the cookies too good to give away. There were strawberry and chocolate sugar wafers, several kinds of creme-filled sandwich-like cookies and a couple different varieties of plain cookies. All tasted quite good. As a bit of advice, these cookies are extremely fresh when the box is first opened, but they seem to absorb water from the air quite quickly and become less-fresh tasting in short order. I'd put them in sealed containers as quickly s possible to avoid this problem. Evidently, they lack some of the preservation additives of American cookies. That's to their credit, I might add.Gary Peterson
