Real review here.
UPDATE: after over 2k miles, the “window regulator motor” has quit, it was intermittently working for a couple days, and now is stuck in the loud mode. Hopefully they can send replacement parts, so I don’t have to cut the pipe out again. I’ve checked the wiring, the module clicks when the remote is pressed, and the motor gets power, it’s just fried. So I read all of the other reviews saying it leaks. That made me nervous, but I went ahead and ordered it anyways. Got it in mail, brought it to work, (ford technician here) cut about 10 inches of my exhaust out right before rear muffler, and welded this in. First go at it, I had the muffler piping slipped to far into the cutout, and once everything was welded I went to test it and the valve wouldn’t close on the open side. So I had to cut my weld in half, extract the inch and a half of pipe in the cutout, and then reweld it. Problem solved, no one’s fault but my own trying to rush through this on my lunch break. I will say that the remote is stupid, it takes an A27 battery which is about 10 bucks and not that easy to find. Aside from that, it does not leak. It opens instantly, and closes instantly, at your command. If you lose your remote I’d say you’re in trouble but this dirt cheap cutout actually works quite well. I tightened the 3 Alan bolts holding the “window regulator motor” that they have on the side. Hey whatever works lol. No rattles from it or anything yet, granted I only have about 60 miles on it so far. Review will be updated if necessary. But for now, hell of a deal.

Well made and affordable quality!
Very easy install and no issues so far. I actually bought this to give myself the option to reroute my loud exhaust to a quieter muffler. Plenty of wire to keep everything out of sight in my fullsize pickup truck and reliable operation. No rattling of the closed valve like some reviews mentioned. Very good quality and sturdy metal with good clean welds. I was very surprised and pleased with the quality for the money. The only thing negative I found is that the motor does not have enough power to switch valves with the engine running due to pressure on the closing valve from a V8 exhaust. I just switch it with the truck off, no big deal. Very pleased and no issues with water resistance in several heavy rainstorms.

Not reliable
When it works, it works beautifully. But I’ve bought 3 of these to just replace to Motor on it.I’ve had the plastic melt in turn not slowing the gears to move and rendered uselessI’ve also had the back cap just fly off and the internal gear go with it, it does not stick on and it can’t stand the heat. DDO NOT BUY, ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

Motor Broke
It worked for a few 6 months then the motor went bad. It also has a leak on the valve and makes some noise. I was hoping to maybe buy a new motor for it but I can't seem to find the part or able to get ahold of the seller.[seller gave me replacement]

Works, but it leaks and does rattle some. I really wish it sealed better.
The media could not be loaded. I had it dumping exhaust outside the tailpipe and it leaked loud enough to hear even when the valve was closed. I then routed it back to the tailpipe and it doesn't sound nearly as good because the whole muffler gets exhaust pulses coming back in anyway and it acts like a 1/4 wave resonator. It's barely louder than flowing through the muffler normally when the valve is open and I couldn't just dump it before the tailpipe because it didn't seal well enough. In all... It functions, but doesn't seal very well. See the video to understand what I mean.Update 9/25/22It has started to rattle constantly and is very annoying. I'm going to need to rig something up with a choke cable or something to open and close it. The gears just have too much play on them to hold it right closed or open. I should have just gotten a vacuum style valve that's easier to package and would have been easier to rig up to a choke cable or actuator.

Worked for 9 months
Worked for 9 months, no "common" rattle sound however just gave up on me yesterday. Severe rattle from exhaust, came down to inspect and cut it open after finding the gear wasn't connected to valves. Motor worked, but seems welds just gave up. Worked flawlessly before. Had it welded in place. Would be nice to get it replaced or get a replacement gear piece.

Great little thing for the money
I love this product, been working for a long time, just wasn’t the easiest to install, they don’t give you too much room to weld and or clamp to, pretty nice and small, works good, remote works flawlessly but it can only either open or closed, you can’t pulse the remote to get it only a little open or closed to customize the volume. Just note that, not saying I don’t recommend it, just something to look out for.

The Honest review + Install
It does what it was meant to do. I got mine welded on and I did the wiring myself. It wasn’t too bad. I routed the wire from the cutout under the car towards the front (still under) and up through the engine bay. Make sure it is away from anything hot and away from radio wires so that it doesn’t melt and doesn’t interfere with the radio. from there I cut off the cigarette lighter part. Split the wire into two different ends. one has blue and the other is all black. the one with blue is power and the all black is ground just wire those to the battery and the black wire from the box also to ground on the battery or a body panel. other than that it should be good
