StarbucksItalian Roast, Whole Bean Coffee (1lb)

Got it for a gift can't ever find in stores around us. The price is amazing worth the money for how much is on the bag. I can't say much for the taste as I don't drink it. But the person receiving it says it's a stronger taste no bitterness. Perfect blend.

Hands down the best beans I’ve found for making espresso.

This is it! I've tried many dark coffees over the years and with each new one I think "this is it!" The Starbucks Italian Roast is it! I promise. It is dark, flavorful and, as an added bonus, so dark it makes 2 shots of rich espresso, with a hefty crema, and a dark cup of coffee from the same brew! My wife, also an espresso lover, loves this "second cup" as her morning coffee. Friends who are a bit timid of the dark roast like this "second cup" in a latte or cappuccino. It's that dark and flavorful. 1 lb. of beans for about $11 is a very good price. For me, the Holy Grail of coffees!

I have been wanting to try this blend for awhile now and I am glad I finally did. It's a great blend. It's not too sweet but sweet enough to cover your taste buds with their of black gold

I got this because it seems the Starbucks stores near me and the retail stores are no longer selling the whole bean espresso blend. It’s about as dark as dark gets. Drinking it might as well be drinking espresso. It has a flavor and after taste to it like no other coffee I’ve ever had and I like it when I do my turtle lattes but it’s not really good when I make my iced white chocolate mocha Or iced Macchiatos. (If you don’t have a ninja coffee maker then what are you even doing with your life).

This is my favorite coffee. It is smooth, never bitter and if you think it's bitter then put a pinch or smaller of salt on top-of the grounds before brewing - it will remove that bitterness. It's also best if you grind it really fine right before brewing. Best coffee ever.

The price was right and I do like Starbucks stuff…..however, this is the darkest coffee I ever purchased (can coffee be OVER roasted?) Way too strong for me as I used my usual formula and same coffee maker. My Italian friend says "it's yummy", but I think he just says that since it is Italian Roast. If extra, extra strong coffee is your thing, you'll be delighted with this.

I have traveled the world over and have enjoyed some of the world's best cups of coffee. If, like me, you like a strong, falvorfful cup of coffee, then the Italian Roast or Sumatra shuld be your selection. What a great way to start the day or finish a meal with your desert!
