great lego set
this set can be a challenge for kids. I bought this to be a challenge for my grandson that is 8. it is a rewarding gift because he can then drive it with the remote control.the instructions are great and true, as all lego sets we have. I always stick with the lego brand because they always have complete and accurate instructions and the build always turns out as it should.

Great gift for the budding engineers! Highly Recommended! Great Gift!
This is a very well priced Technic Lego kit. Most of these Technic kits are VERY expensive but this one is not in my opiunion and is a great way to get into this line with less cost. The build is advanced but not so crazy that it drives you insane. My son is 11 and is very handy with these types of toys so he was able to build it entirely on his own with only 1 set back:- In case this happens to you, the power center which takes the batteries, be sure to recognize it is 2 SIDED, and takes a total of 4 batteries. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. It was not immediately explained that way in the instructions so we thought we had a dud. In turns out there are 2 battery doors. Hope this helps anyone that runs into the same issue! LOL

Alternate model is the winner - simple but fun
The build was quick and it's a very playable LEGO set. I much prefer the alternate model because it's easier to control than the stunt racer version. The stunt racer is fun, but since so much weight is in the back it can't really navigate any obstacles. Good build, almost want to buy another just for the parts!

Good gift for lego or remote control fans.
My 8 year old got this for Christmas. He assembled it with almost no help, his 11 year old brother helped a little. He enjoys the remote control a lot. Of course as kids do, he disassembled it and made a rock scooping device with the motors and tracks. Might have been a little bit too pricey if it wasn't a Christmas gift.

Fun and also educational
Perfect for my expert 11 years old Lego builder. It took him about two hours because it came without a piece.I liked as well it has been a while that I wanted an engine like this in a Lego. The car works exactly like the Lego movie and it is lots of fan, I can only use it when my son is sleeping ;)Once he is true with it I am sure he will use it with something else.He has a book for Lego creations with a lot of gears and elastic band that I believe he can adapt the constructions to use this motor and remote.
