easy peasy
There is nothing sexy or fun about these springs, but they are a good option to revive a $2500 dollar chair. The Ekornes recliner has imbedded springs in the foam. I left the old broken spring in place and used these replacements to regain support with a plastic insulator separating it from the foam. The Ekornes factory sells new lower foam for $300 plus a 2-6 month shipping fee. Nobody got time for dat.

Direct replacement springs to fit large Stressless recliner chairs
These replacement springs were the perfect length to replace my large Stressless recliner chair springs that broke. The spring replacement process took me approximately 40 minutes to complete. Simply follow the instructions written by other reviewers. I am glad to extend the useful life of my comfy Stressless recliner chair.

Saved our chair.
#1 son used YouTube instructions to replace broken spring. Not the easiest repair but was able to make it work. Good as new!

These worked great!
One of the springs broke in my Ekornes recliner seat cushion. Ekornes wanted over $800 to replace the entire seat. They will not repair these and then replacement had a possible 3 month wait time. Because the springs are molded into the foam, a local upholstery shop said there's nothing that can be done but I can use their dumpster to get rid of the chair. I found these springs on Amazon and took a chance on them. I'm glad I did. The chair is as good as ever.I cut the ends off of the existing springs with bolt cutters and then used the existing webbing loops to install the new springs under the original foam. Then I cut a piece of foam from my wife's yoga mat (she doesn't know yet) and installed it under the springs to better hold things together. After doing this repair I now believe that Ekornes products are way overrated and overpriced. But these springs are well worth the cost.

Not a miracle cure.
Well as far as the springs themselves go theres no complaints here. They seem well enough made. The problem of reviewing them is that they are described as seat repair springs. So this is the thing. The results will depend on your actual chair. My seat base was split as well as having a broken spring. This isn't uncommon with stressless chairs. As some of the reviews mention the seat base is molded with the frame and springs inside the foam. This the issue I had.....Without tearing out 1/2" - 1" of foam over each spring it wasnt possible to tell which springs were broken. It turned out only the middle spring was bad but the cushion base was cracked all the way through. So I replaced the bad spring and used a work out mat as others mentioned folding it 3 times on the center spring . It fixed the sag mostly but the gap in the cushion from the crack is still there. It's much better than it was but not perfect. Also it's a good thing that theres a zipper under the base otherwise it would look like your Grandad's duct tape everything fix back in the day. It's not a clean professional fix by a long shot. But can you get some more life out of the chair and save a bunch of money? Yep.

Great seller...I repaired my chairs myself!
We have 2 Stressless recliners that we have owned for about 18 years. Each had broken springs. We watched some Youtube videos and ordered these springs. We were able to repair both recliners saving so much money. This seller has fast shipping and also great customer support. I had a question about gluing the foam back together and he immediately answered my question so I could get back to my repairs. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.

THE Fix for a Large Stressless Chair!
Thanks partly to the review by Seb, I decided to take a shot at fixing my chair. I had two springs break in my large Stressless Mayfair recliner seat cushion. The springs are indeed molded into the foam, and the foam was broken up due to my continual use of the chair after the springs broke. These springs did not specify they would fit the LARGE size Stressless, but THEY DO FIT THE LARGE STRESSLESS!! These are not easy to install; it takes some pretty serious physical effort to stretch the springs when installing. A second person was VERY helpful.I was able to expose the existing webbing loops by cutting the foam in strategic spots, then install the new springs on the outside, bottom of the original foam. I added a piece of CRAFTSMAN Non-Slip Foam Drawer Liner Roll (CMST82692) between the foam and new springs. This reinforced rubberish foam helped to contain and support the foam that had broken up.Slits were cut in the foam to allow the new springs to pass into the foam and attach to the web loops in similar positions as the original. I placed one spring end into the loop on one side, then I pulled the springs to stretch enough so that my wife could maneuver the spring ends into the web loop on the other side. Then, flatten and even out the drawer liner that was added. Repeat for each spring, and it took about 90 minutes total. The chair is back to a great comfort level, and I saved about $2K!!

Springs were too long. Not as advertised.
They were an inch longer than advertised, I’m thinking they were used (not new)!!I had to do a lot of things to shrink them to size, then they just would stretch out again. I then used nylon webbing to support the springs. Totally feel it was a waste of time and $$. But I am only one person.
