Adequate shelving, sturdy enough but NO RUBBER MALLET

Although these shelves are easy to assemble and quite sturdy they let themselves down. Firstly they have no central support and bear in mind these are 900mm wide and rated as heavy duty. secondly the shelving is a very thin mdf and bows very easily and known to absorb moisture. They are not suited to any area with the slightest wet/damp issues. Overall they could easily have solved the problem by adding a support or strengthening the shelf. would not recommend for heavy items.

Good solid shelves, having looked at a lot of different ones online am pleased with these. Putting them up was straightforward once you get the method, slightly tricky the middle section, but would have been less so if i had read the instructions better. No need to fix to wall, stable and strong.

Very good value , not quite as strong as thought they would be, but very useful.

Construction was tricky as the uprights are in two pieces, and you have to try to put the middle shelf supports in while keeping the top uprights in place. Once done though and secured to my garage wall, they have proved very sturdy.
