This dress looks good on me

this pattern is thorough and although it has taken my mother and sister some time to figure it all out, they have done a beautiful job, and i love the fit and style of the dress. they have made it double-layer with a cream colored satin-blend underneath and an overlay of off-white lace. it is lovely, and the pattern fit easily without too many alterations. my mother and sister are both pretty practiced seamstresses, however, so i would not recommend this to anyone as their first project.

I made this dress, view B, it is beautiful and was really easy. I first cut the size 24 thinking that patterns run small it was way too big, then re-cut using 20 because of necessary chest space, then just made the pleats up and little higher and it is perfect. Just feels pretty.

Everything I expected to have this dress made, came in the package. The dress is in the process of being made right now, and I am super excited about it. My mother is a seamstress and tells me it is fairly easy, and she thinks she's actually made the dress before for a client and a 60s themed party. Thanks so much for a great product.

A little more beaten up than I anticipated but exactly what I needed!

This was the perfect pattern for the perfect dress. The pattern made for a beautiful dress and it's a very flattering design.

The problem with the product is that newbies like myself won't see the flap that indicates what size you are/were back when this pattern was in vogue (pardon the pun).I'm usually a size 6 or 7 in ready-wear so I bought a "Size A" pattern which covers up to, and including, size 10. I thought that put me in the right-size-ballpark.WRONG!Apparently, what I needed to do was get a size 14. That's right: 14. Over TWICE the size I usually wear.Were I able to see the back flap and had I gone by the bust, waist, hip measurements printed there, I would have known to purchase a much larger size.Buyer beware!

Funny how things come back in style this is a beautiful dress. I am loving that the whole retro dress craze is coming back around. I think it's good that women want to get back to a classy feminine style.

I love this pattern, but I confess some of the instructions re the box pleats were tad confusing. I went online and googled the pattern to get some help.You need to take time and read everything very carefully. In the end I did the dress without sleeves and did a bias bind on the armholes. Then I did the pleats to open up lower than shown in the illustration and to hold the pleat I stitched along the fold.I will use the pattern again and again. I will also do the pattern with the sleeve at some stage. The cost of the pattern is worth it. See it as an investment!Degrees of difficulty - confident to advancedSizing - pretty good

Da dies die erste deutsche Rezension zu sein scheint, möchte ich mir etwas Zeit nehmen und meine Bewertung erläutern.Äußerlich kam das Schnittmuster unversehrt an. Beim Auspacken jedoch stellte ich fest, dass das (sehr dünne) Papier ein großes Loch hatte, welches scheinbar durch "Hängenbleiben" entstanden war. Das Schnittmuster wirkt sehr zerknittert und ich werde es vorher bügeln müssen. Da die Papierhülle in Ordnung war, muss die Beschädigung bereits vor dem "Eintüten" passiert sein.Der Schnitt an sich ist schön und in der englisch/französischen Anleitung mit Skizzen schrittweise erklärt. Man sollte schon etwas Erfahrung mit Schnitten dieser Art mitbringen um das ohne deutsche Übersetzung zu nähen... oder sich jede Menge Zeit nehmen. ^^ Die Nahtzugaben sind laut Quellen bereits enthalten.Ich ziehe einen Stern ab, wegen der fehlenden deutschen Übersetzung der Nähanleitung und einen weiteren wegen der Beschädigung.Lasse ich die Mängel einmal theoretisch ausser Acht ist das ein schönes Schnittmuster

Es ist ein schönes Schnittmuster. Allerdings scheint es auf eine andere Körperform als die meine ausgelegt zu sein

Très bon patron, jolies coupes même si un essai sur tissus plus épais comme le velours n'est pas forcément adapté.J'ai voulu faire une robe d'hiver mais ce n'est pas l'idéal.Avec un tissus fluide et droit le résultat sera parfait. En revanche, les tailles ne sont pas forcément bien adaptées en raison de la taille près du corps et du col en V.Si le tissus n'est pas adapté, les épaules peuvent tomber et ne pas tenir. Je vous conseille de travailler les patrons avec vos propres mesures.

Il problema è capire le taglie, non essendo in misura italiana, ho preso il modello troppo grande!
