Received this beautiful box as a birthday present and compelled to write a review as it so exceeds any tea box Ive had in the past. The wood and workmanship is absolutely top quality, with a soft close mechanism and very sturdy hardware. I received the rose gold handle which is so unique., I honestly thought it was a jewelry box at first. Definitely recommend as a gift for a close friend or relative.

I would give this size six stars if possible...The unit comes well packed when shipped. The tea box is place into an incredibly well designed and great looking package. The entire box is engulfed in black foam and the inside of the box is packed with a single piece of foam cut specifically to fit (see the first photo). This box is placed into another box to protect it and then the entire thing is shipped in a standard Amazon box. The packaging is so nice that we plan to repurpose this somehow.When opening this, you immediately realize that company responsible for designing this and putting it all together cares about quality. All of a sudden you find yourself excited to open it up wondering what you will find inside. Once opened, you are not disappointed. The quality continues.If you are a tea lover, you will love this! I have to confess I am not a tea lover, but my wife is and this is for her. She absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, loves this tea box. Every inch of this box has been designed and built with quality in mind.When unpacking the box, you will notice right away that this thing has some weight to it. The wood is high quality and thick. The corners and seems are cut perfectly and come together with precision. The glass in the lid was brilliantly worked into the top. The hinges are soft open/close so that you cannot open the lid too fast, but it does not take any force to open. The same for when closing the lid. Let the lid go and it will slowly close itself. Even the feel and the motion of the hinges reveal the quality.The stainless-steel dividers, hinges and handle are all very ornate. The inner dividers are so shiny that they reflect their contents and appear to be made from glass. I have seen some comments about the handle being “gaudy” but I do not agree. The style is perfect for the intended design. There are for stainless-steel feet about one inch in diameter on the bottom each having a small soft rubber piece that keeps it in place but also allows it to slide slightly. Even the design of the feet is well thought through. This makes it very easy to slide it into a cabinet space without needing to apply a lot of force. Again, I feel that every part of the design was thoughtfully considered when this tea box was made.This particular tea box carries a high price tag compared to others. I feel that you get what you are paying for here. This is top of line as other have already stated.Our package came with a nice little surprise that I do not see mentioned in any of the descriptions or other reviews (see the last image).If you are buying this as a gift, I would recommend getting yourself one first unless you are tempted to keep it after the purchase.

I love beautiful wood products, so this gem caught my eye...you simply must See it and Touch it to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and thoughtfulness that went into it! I purchased it as a Tea Box...to display and enjoy, however this beauty is more than that....a Keepsake that can be handed down with memories to go along with it! And the story behind its creators adds to its lovely charm!! Wonderful gift for yourself, family or friend....Stunning!!!

After less than a month the lid did not close all the way (we made sure nothing was stuck or preventing it from closing) abd also the wood started to chip and break. Poor wuality, especially given its price
