POWOXI 6V 1.5W Solar Panel to Recharge Deer Feeder Battery Waterproof Outdoor Solar Charger with Mounting Bracket (6v Deer Feeder Solar Panel 1.5W)

This was a bundle suggestion for a deer (game) feeder replacement motor (GSM Outdoors 30591). Note that it is the incorrect part -this is a generic solar panel that has a pair of 'gator clips' and will not connect to the factory connectors on the motor! The voltage is correct and output is sufficient (per testing) so I decided to just make it work. TO that end, I ordered a male/female connector, cut the factory one on the motor kit and cut the wires on the panel, soldered and sealed the new connectors into place and it now trickle-charges the 6V battery for my game feeder. I gave it 5 stars because it is well built and seems tough enough to survive in the wild, it came with plenty of hardware to secure it to the feeder and more than ample amount of wire to place it wherever you want to (I zip-tied the extra). The fault regarding the connectors is that of Amazon for the suggestion, and mine for not doing my research. Hardware-wise, I'm quite pleased, and it was working fine when I went back at the end of summer to check on the feeder.IF I think about it, I'll supply a photo of the installation next time I get into the woods.

Observation of a hunter. Works perfectly. had this on my feeders now for 2 months and battery is always at 100%. That said I did by a 6 pack of high AH batteries at the same time Little did I know that after 4 weeks the battery is still at half charge on the feeder that doesn't have this solar panel that runs about 5 seconds at 5AM and again at 5PM. It doesn't run a lot but my goal is to full the feeder and not touch the area for 6 weeks. The end of the story is if you need all season (bow) then go with this. if you just need 4+ weeks, then swap to a better battery also available on Amazon. The battery I use is the UPG - UB645

My 8 Moultrie feeders use a solar panel with a male plug instead of alligator clips. So I bought the 12 volt male pigtail (used for 12 volt security cameras) and the red shrink butt connecters (for 18 gauge wire) and shrink connector crimpers and added the male power plug. (I cut off the alligator clips.) Then I used plastic wire protector and zip ties to keep squirrels from chewing wire near the plug. The proximal wire is already protected by metal conduit so I just protect the distal wire near the plug that I added. This works soooo much better than the flimsy original name brand solar panel that kept breaking off.

I replaced the cheap solar units that are associated with the Moultrie Feeders with this unit and the quality and output is so much greater now. A great product and works tremendously.

Got sick of the useless 6 volt WGI feeder systems with the 6 V solar charger and those worthless 6 V WGI rechargeable batteries you buy at walmart. Converted over to 12 volt system and added this charger. Put out 2 new rebuilt feeder systems with these chargers in July. Now Sept and the batteries are still fully charged with two 10 second feeding times. SO far pleased.

Tested the output from the unit seems to work as advertised. Will see how the unit holds up to weather over time. For now seems to be functional and at a good price.

Product arrived on time as described. It was installed 2 1/2 weeks ago, works as described. I would buy again.

Good Size & cheaper than other stores. My deer feeder is up & running again. Charged up the battery quickly & has maintained at 100%.
