Ferris Bueller's Day Off [DVD] [1986]

They certainly don't make movies this well anymore. One liners I use in daily life, facial expressions that say it all, NO CGI! My son of 15, watched it with me for the first time, and completely understands the quality and thought that went into it.

In 1987, as a teenager, I bunked off school with some friends to go to see this film at the cinema. It didn't change my life, but was a great fun film, and Ferris Bueller is the most iconic teen character of all time. I watched it again yesterday with my teenage kids, 15 and 16 years old, and they loved it, so the film has definitely stood the test of time. It's fast paced, well acted, has a great soundtrack, it's very funny and is lightly sprinkled with life lessons. The sequence where Ferris is singing along to Twist and Shout on the parade float is one of my all time feel good sequences, and is one of the best uses of a song in a film.

I didn't know this movie was so awesome until I bought it 3 weeks ago.I must say this movie is terribly Amazing,hilarious and it has is points were is a bit sad but it's ferris bueller and you can't possibly hate this movie.I really must say that John Hughes is a pure jenius.The script of this movie,the characters all of it were perfect.Charlie Sheen also has a little part in this whom he play great! I really like Matthew Broderick,Alan Ruck and Jennifer Grey,they were perfect for that role.I myself now am a Ferris Bueller fanatic.So don't wait,buy this Amazing 80s jem!.

Revisiting our teen years of the 80s with our Teen daughter who wasn't too impressed by fashion etc. Still kept us sat together for a couple of hours for a change

i bought this film on video years ago, now lost to time, and recently heard yello's oh yeah! and my mind went straight to this film! an easy impulse purchase that was cheaper than the video i bought years ago! great film, i loved re watching it, as good as it ever was.

This film never gets old, with quotable dialogue that retrospectively you wish you'd been quick enough to say during similar interactions. A very funny movie.

If you haven't seen this classic movie do it now. It's a must see, one of those movies that hold up even though its frickin' old already.Also for people like me who were born in the mid-80's it shows a nice looking Matthew Broderick. Which now makes your auntie's comments about "how hot he used to be" make total sense. Us mid-80's people remember him more for being a (quite round) terrible actor in the even more terrible Godzilla. And that he's married to SJP.After watching this I was all "oh, so THAT'S why people were going on about him, he was good at acting/had good looks as a teenager!"

Thank you for making this a one-off classic of magisterial proportions and not ruining it with a II or a III.A must-see film for anyone, worth watching and re-watching.
