This is a replacement for 2 other on reel cords I have purchased that both broke (would not wind back up). I can assume the spring was too weak and stretched out, loosing its tension. This item has so far worked as advertised. Have not used enough to ensure it will hold, but no issues yet. I will update after extensive more use. I also like the lighted 3 prong that this one has versus my others. Very basic and easy mounting. If it continues to perform as it has to this point I will be very pleased.

A great product that fits our needs beautifully to have an always at the ready unit that I don’t have to fold up each time I use it. Ease of deployment and retraction are good. We have had this several years now and it has never caused any problems.

I needed a simple way to have an extension cord with multiple plugs in the center of my garage where the grandkids battery powered vehicles are stored. We recharge the batteries often during the summer. This is perfect. Son-in-law installed it in the ceiling electrical outlet also used for the garage opener in about 5 minutes. Great that it retracts with a tug but I probably won't use that feature very often. Garage floor is now clutter free without cords running everywhere to trip me up!

It's pretty cheap feeling and that's what I expected for the price. This is a great unit for light duty homeowner use and I wouldn't recommend at all for any commercial and certaintly not industrial use. The setup was easy and straight forward, but here is my only gripe. It'd be nice to give an alternate mounting option. As is, you get 2 screw holes for the bracket. This would force you to mount the reel in an orientation in line with your joist running east and west say and then the cord would hang east and west. If you want to mount on an east and west joist and have the cord reel open south, you will only be able to get one screw in the joist. This is what I ended up doing coupled with a drywall anchor and I'm not overly concerned as it's secure and not designed to support significant weight, but 2 extra holes on the bracket for flexibility and I'd have given this 5 stars. Oh and the winder is a bit finicky too.

Well made and works perfectly. I really appreciate that you can install the bracket and then attach the reel with a simple pin and retainer. Installation was a breeze.

Took a little thinking to install but a generally handy guy or gal will not have a problem. Be sure to plan for the rather short plug to reach the outlet. Plugged mine into the garage door opener outlet in the ceiling. Love having my extension cord at hand at all times. Retracting has a little learning curve. When you here the unit clicking as pull out the cord it will lock. When it is not clicking it will retract. You get used to it.

This is a solid, well made product that performs exactly how it should. A good value that should last a very long time.

This cord reel is ideal for me, I like how heavy duty it is, length of the cord, the 3 outlet strip. I replaced my 20' cord reel that was to light weight, it had a plastic case, lighter cord.

i hung this up on the ceiling of a two bay garage and theres not a spot i cant reach it to and it retracts smoothly

I have had a few of these and if you are looking for a nice power reel for the garage or workshop this is perfect! It retracts very nicely, it does what I need it too Power my tools

Item works very well. Retracts and holds position well. Very handy when I mounted on the ceiling in my shop. I wish I hade bought one sooner and may even order another.

Trips the built in overload protection when 15 amps are being pulled, seems like good quality. good craftsmanship from China on this guy
