Q: I have 20/100 vision, would these glasses work for reading books and computer screens ?

I can only tell you that they help my mom, who has macular degeneration and very poor vision (about the same as yours), watch t.v. For reading, she went to a low vision specialist and was fitted with a different type of glasses that were ridiculously expensive... $2,000 but did help. I got her Eschenbachs on ebay for about $60. If you could get them for a good price, they might be worth trying.

That answer is correct. This helps patients with macular. But as their eyesight degenerates over time, there is simply less and less field of vision that they have. The MaxDetail provides a working distance of 16" inches or 40cm - so it is perfect for reading newspapers, books, looking at a computer, etc. The MaxTV are designed for a further working distance to watch television.
