ScumBlaster: Soap Scum Remover, Tile and Grout Cleaner, Hard Water Stains and Rust, Industrial Strength

have a fiberglass shower/tub that had a thick gray layer of soap scum that i had always struggled to clean. previously, i used popular store-bought cleaners which required LOTS of intense scrubbing just to get a small spot back to its original squeaky clean state. i needed the tub clean as quickly as possible without having to strain my body scrubbing away for hours. found this and decided to give it a try. package arrived and contained a measuring cup, an empty spray bottle, a full bottle of concentrated cleaner, and a scrubber brush. instructions to mix are easy. there's enough concentrate to make 5 bottles of this cleaner which is great. has the smell of a typical surface cleaner but the fumes aren't overwhelmingly strong and, for me, the smell faded pretty soon after spraying (practiced usual cleaning ventilation techniques i.e. exhaust on with door and window open, gloves on, etc). with this cleaner, i was able to get my scrub shower clean in about an hour (probably would have taken me 4 times that time to get it clean with other cleaners i used before) and was VERY HAPPY with the results. my shower/tub was squeaky clean and was back to its original sparkly white color, just like the day we first moved in. instructions say to spray and wipe away immediately but i personally sprayed and scrubbed as the soap scum layer was pretty THICK. i was pleasantly surprised at how much easier and faster it was to scrub the soap scum away. VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. i thought it would be a disappointment but this is truly a great surface cleaner. still had to scrub a bit (not surprising with the amount of soap scum the shower/tub had) but i used probably a quarter of the effort i used with other cleaners. AMAZING. i used about half a bottle to clean my shower, but i sprayed generous amounts each time and was so happy using it, i even did another bonus round of cleaning just to get it EXTRA SPARKLY CLEAN! now that i have the shower/tub back to its clean, sparkly white state, im confident with more regular cleaning i can easily use the spray and wipe away method to maintain the beautiful clean surface!

This product does such a good job of cleaning in the bathroom and cutting through soap scum with a whole lot less time spent scrubbing. Worth the investment.

First, I rarely write reviews since most of the stuff I buy on Amazon works within reasonable tolerances. I broke tradition with this product. A few years ago I had black tile installed on my shower floor. Our cleaning people have been doing a reasonable job cleaning it over the past several years, but recently the white residue (firmly entrenched soap scum) on the black tile was becoming very noticeable. After trying all the “sure thing home solutions” like vinegar and dish soap, as well as several other “highly rated” products on Amazon, I was starting to become disillusioned. These products sort of worked but still left my floor looking hazy. Tried this product yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. The grout hasn’t looked this clean since the day the floor was installed. The tile looks wonderful. Though the price of this product is a bit more than others, it is worth it because it works. Be forewarned, the fumes can be overwhelming so make sure the room is well ventilated. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of attempting to remove 35+ years of soap scum and mineral buildup on ceramic tile shower walls. While ScumBlaster itself did not completely remove the buildup, I used in combination with another slightly abrasive hard water stain remover and had really good success. Initially, I used a scrub brush and microfiber rag in combination, then moved up to a drill wheel scrub brush and had good success and actually came up with a reflective shine in the tiles that equal the tiles outside of the shower that do not experience the shower spray. I estimate that the ScumBlaster, hard water stain remover and drill scrub brush removed about 99% of the buildup. Its's a slow process, about 5 minutes for a 4" x 6" tile, but the results are worth it. I do offer a precaution about combining chemicals, as some do produce very dangerous fumes. Read the cautions statements on the labels.

This product was simply amazing! The directions were very simple and fool proof! I clean apartments and a lot of the homes I clean have a lot of hard water build up! Look no further spray this, walk away and come bck later and the scum is literally no where in sight. I would suggest wearing protective gear because omits a chemical, and it is strong but it definitely gets the job done. It leaves the area with a nice and pleasant smell afterwards. The cost was very minimal which is definitely a plus and it works!

first off the smell will get you but it does an excellent job of rust okay on limescale and if the soap scum is thick enough you still have to use the brush to scrub off the soap scum

This product worked exceedingly well. I had a long build up of soap scum on an acrylic tube. Sparyed the product on and let it set over night. The next day, most all scum came off with some scrubbing. Repeated the soak and scrub and now the tub is clean. I will by this product again.

If I could give this cleaner 0 stars I would. I was so excited to get this product as I had tried regular cleaners on my shower door to no avail. After reading the reviews on this, I was hopeful. That didn't last long. I have used this soap scum remover four times now and it doesn't make a dent. It cleans the sink, but I could have used a less expensive product to do that. I have used different degrees of strength when scrubbing my doors and none is better than the last. It is normal shower scum/hard water spots, nothing more than that and this stuff only wets it. Don't buy this product if you are looking to clean your shower doors. A huge waste of money.
