Poorly made Cable
I returned this cable because of its poor quality. You can do much better elsewhere- Avoid.

Almost useful
The description says:Wired as a 9 pin serial port Null-Modem cord that 2-3 line are crosslinked (only TX/RX data and signal ground wires connected); standard shielded with AL foilAnd it's true pins 2 and 3 are crosslinked as desired but it is not true that only TX and RX are ground are connected. All the other pins are wired straight through which means that if you connect it to another DCE device, both side will be trying to drive the same lines. So even if you have no handshaking, you still can have problems as the two sides fight each other. The solution would be for the manufacturer to eitherCrosslink (pins 4 and 6) and (pins 7 and 8) or, as the description says, assume there isn't handshaking and leave all other pins unwired. That is, have only 3 conductors in the cable.

These are not functional.
Bought for the Null Modem aspect. Don't buy if thats what your after. Should have tested them in the return period.
