ThunderSnap Quick-Connect Dog Leash (X-Large, Black)

The bit that attaches to the dog's collar is wrapped in plastic and it dangles SO low that, within 20 minutes, my dog (a Jack Russell) had chewed it completely up. The connector end of the *leash* is metal and seems durable. I can't fathom why they wouldn't also make the part that stays on the dog out of plastic. I'm going to TRY to return it, but considering it's already chewed up, not sure if they'll take it. Poorly designed garbage.

I was looking for a product like this for over two years! So needless to say when I found it, it arrived and I was able to actually use it. I am so happy and grateful! This product is a true Godsend!! Thank You! I have a left hand that is paralyzed and my right hand was amputated. I am quite capable of doing lots but putting on my dogs’ regular leash is not something I can do easily if at all ever! Thank You ThunderSnap 🤗😊🤗

My leash stopped working after 6 months of continual use--the two pieces wouldn't snap apart. I contacted the company to find out if there was a way of restoring the release mechanism and they sent out a replacement as soon as I documented my purchase. This type of customer service isn't easy to find any longer. I will be purchasing these leashes as gifts for my kids dogs for Christmas! Again, highly recommend!I don't usually write reviews, but this leash and magnetic clip work so well, I am highly recommending. Moved from a place where dog had a fenced yard to a place where she needs to be leash walked. This products makes attaching the leash so easy! I wish there were additional female magnets sold separately, so that I could leave one on her leash for quick trips out and one on her harness, for longer walks. Hopeful that the clasp release holds up--it is so easy!

Our dog has a lot of hair/skin around her neck so finding the d-ring to connect her leash for walks can be a struggle sometimes. The ThunderSnap leash makes this so much easier since the magnets find each other and connect automatically. She's a bit of a puller when she walks too and this leash has no problems holding together. I only wish the mechanism was a little smaller since she's a small dog (<15 lbs) and the latch is kind of big to hang from her neck all of the time, but that's me being picky. It doesn't seem to bother her any. Overall I've been extremely happy with the leash. It's strong and well put together, and makes my life easier.

I am a below elbow amputee with a single hand. This does the trick and doesn't require that I fight my puppy's nips while clasping his leash. The 'male' leash end clasps easily into the collar's 'female' clasp.Since my pup did chew it a bit when it was fastened to his collar (we've since attached it to his harness) the relatively thick plastic receptacle required that I use tweezers to restore the clasp to its original shape in order to be sure the 'snap' fit was secure.I deducted a star for that design flaw, but this is otherwise inehanded man friendly and makes the fastening process quick especially when we're in a rush (especially every morning after the pup is freed from his crate).

Bought this in March. Worked for three months and then the hook stopped fastening to the leash, making it completely useless. I contacted Thundershirt about the issue to provide them an opportunity to replace it, however they never even bothered to respond. Buy another leash, and avoid Thundershirt/Thundersnap as they don't seem to care about either their products' quality or about their customers' experiences.

The leashes are very well made. I would have given them 5 stars, except for the size problem. I ordered a size S and a size XS. THE PROBLEM IS THEY ARE BOTH EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE. Makes me thing they are not the genuine article. Very disappointed.

This leash makes hooking up and disconnecting a breeze. Once the two connectors are close, the magnetic pull basically does the job for you. It is a one-hand job and once latched, holds tight. My dog is a strong puller, and I never once felt like the connector was going to break or come apart. Disconnecting is intuitive as well, just grab the grey part and it unlocks and separates as you pull it. Super easy for me, but still not possible for my dog to do if he is scratching at it or something.

The actual magnetic connector is strong and if you have a relatively calm dog then it works pretty well. But if you have a relatively calm dog then you probably wouldn’t need this. If you have a crazy 80 pound beast who throws tantrums and thrashes his neck around when you’re trying to attach a lead, it is sometimes possible to connect the magnets but the connector to the collar opens and the dog is free again.A nice idea but probably not designed for or tested on a dog like mine.
