4 Pcs Bakelite Lamp Holder, Vintage Light Bulbs Holder Bakelite light holder E27 Black

We had 3 Dunelm pendant lights with decorative fabric coated wire, but we wanted to replace that with a different colour of wire. Getting the pendants apart was difficult, but the final problem was that the E27 holder had cheap push-fit terminals which meant the terminals were damaged when the old cable was removed. These lampholders were the solution. They were not the cheapest on Amazon; but the info had dimensions - the fitting is inside a tube in the pendant, so the diameter and length were crucial - and I needed a good 10mm metal socket on the end of the E27 holder. This holder - literally - fitted exactly. It was easy to wire because of the screw terminals. I didnt need to dissemble any of the holders after wiring, but I can see they will be straightforward with the usual E27 tab mechanism (check on Youtube if you are not aware of how this works). Quality is as expected. Very happy with this purchase.

OK for the price, and fine for what i wanted (workbench lights), but a few features to beware of:Would not use outdoors. There's no way this fitting can be waterproof.It's not possible to fit a standard detachable shade to the fitting.Fitting can be permanently mounted through a thin metal desk-light shade with a 10mm hole in it, but otherwise can only be used on a pendant flex.There's a stupid (and unnecessary) ratchet clip in the fitting that makes it almost impossible to take apart once it's assembled. If you cut this off you'll make life a lot easier for yourself.Cable clamp is excellent!

I bought these to replace a bulb holder on an outside light that had burnt out. A good solid build and perfect fit.

Good bulb holders, not earthed so no need to buy cable with an earth wire. They don't come with shade rings, you're more likely to use these with a vintage style bulb you'd have on show.
