These pens keep their fine point with ink clumping.

Best pens I use. They work well when writing in margins of documents or books because of the fine point. They don't smudge, and the ink dries instantly. It does not bleed through pages, even thin pages like in a Bible. Comfortable to use, and not so expensive that I worry if it gets lost. Highly recommend.

I normally use very fine-tipped gel pens for general writing, but gel pens can dry up and most gel inks can wash out if the paper gets wet, so sometimes you need a ballpoint. Pilot Acroball hybrid ink pens in the 0.5 mm point size have become my favorite ballpoint when small, precise lettering is needed. I wanted these Acroball M series pens with their different body colors so I could easily tell them apart from my 0.7 mm Acroball pens which all have black bodies. However, there really isn't much contrast between the three darker Acroball M bodies and my black Acroball 0.7 pens except under very bright lighting. But that doesn't affect how the pens work, which is superbly.

I love the very fine line writing of these pens. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that I've noticed that they write clearer when held in an almost upright position, which is difficult for me to maintain, as I've never written from a pen except when holding it at an angle. Even at an angle, though, the writing is good and the color of the blue is pretty, also.

Great pens and service! .05s are a bit scratchy for me, but I hold my pen at an angle that makes a lot of pens scratchy to me that aren't for others. I love these pens!

Good pen grip and ink

I am such a big pen guy. I have to have the right pen to write with. I prefer fine (.5) ball point pens. I used to use the .5 Uniball Jetstream pens but those would always act like they run out of ink despite using them for only one day. These are really easy to hold, Ink runs smooth and bold, and a nice looking barrel. I will update in the case there is something bad but these are amazing pens.
