These are great and look awesome at night time as well. The only thing I have found is that it eats batteries very fast. I have used rechargeable batteries. So when they stop work. I recharge the battery and replace. Not a deal breaker. They are in Sun for half the day.

They look very decorative but the solar doesn’t work long at all. We changed the batteries but didn’t help.

**Update Nov 16, 2020: The good folks in the yyzkee.com customer service department sent out two brand new lights that both work perfectly. They also arrived ten days earlier than promised! Many thanks, I'm changing my rating from three stars to five for standing behind their productsOriginal review---I will happily update this review when I receive the promised replacements, but for now I have to say it's disappointing that these items advertised as "brand new" arrive with half of the lanterns inoperable, due to malfunctioning solar cells. I also had to replace the supplied "new" batteries in order to get these to stay lit for more than two hours. The batteries that I installed made the two functioning lanterns work much better.*And yes, I charged the cells in direct sunlight for two days before attempting to use them.The light and the flicker effect are very realistic when they do work, making them worth spending the extra $20 for actually useful rechargeable batteries. The lantern housing is plastic, but is decorated to give a very realistic metal look.Kudos to the the Zkee customer service dept; their emails have been very friendly and quick in their responses. They assured me they would send replacement lanterns as soon as they were back in stock, which, at this time in late October, they are stating to be available in early November. Not going to be helpful to me this Halloween, which is why I bought them, but they hopefully will be in working order next year.

The vintage-style flickering flame is absolutely stunning, exactly the look I wanted. But this thing needs bigger solar panels, it doesn’t last near long enough. I won’t buy again for that reason.

I have just purchased a second set. Bought them to hang on hooks in the back yard to add ambiance. We live very close to the beach so not all of our days are full sun.They arrived about 2:00 pm, I turned them on and hung them. They came on at dusk and I really like the look of a real flame in them. My husband got up before sunrise about 5:00 am and they were still on. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend. 6/7/2020 adding to my original review -and still very much recommend, two weeks after purchase one of the lamps stopped working ( faulty wiring maybe) anyway i contacted the seller to see what could be done. They replied within a day, they were out of stock but as soon as their supply came in they would send a new one- it took more than a couple of weeks as it seems everything is since Covid - but true to their word, i received an email that not one replacement but two were on the way... What great customer service and we still love the look of the lanterns.

Not worth it

I have had these lanterns since August. They put out a very nice warm glow but they are not like the lanterns that actually look like flames...they do flicker but they are not so dramatic. That’s fine. They say the longevity is 6-8 hours at full charge. Not so. It’s more like 4-6 hrs at most. The reason is that the solar panel on top is 1/4 the size of other lanterns. It just doesn’t have the capacity to last 6-8 hours. They are nice lanterns for the amount of time they are on.

The lights are surprisingly bright and the flickering is very realistic. I purchased a couple of the similar style harbor freight ones and while these are slightly smaller, they're also much better quality.Minus one star because the solar batteries they come with are kinda crap, and the power switch enclosure on one was poorly soldered to the point it wouldn't turn on. I was able to fix it, but your mileage may vary.Over all, very very satisfied.
