This makes it super fast to mark a log for bucking into uniform length firewood. This was purchased only as a spare, in case my original, which I'd been using for many years needed replacing. I love the time savings using it. Far better than the other ways I've used in the past like guessing, marking with a tape measure and lumber crayon or chaulk, or a rod attachment on the bar by magnet or bolt mount, this it just faster and easier.
