Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Mounting Tape, Clear Tape, 1" x 150" (Pack of 1) - Weatherproof for Indoor or Outdoor

This year we bought a few outdoor solar wall light to help light the outside of the house. Since we have aluminum siding, I didn't want to use screws to mount the light, so I bought this tape to install the lights on the house. So far, we have had heavy rain and cold weather and this tape has held up well. I also have a hook installed on the inside of a kitchen cabinet door to store acrylic lids of different sizes. The lids are heavy, so the mounting adhesive that came with the hooks wouldn't hold the weight. I used this tape on the hooks and it is holding well. The 1" width is perfect as it can be used for large or small items to be hung. For larger items, you can use a couple of strips. The strips are best installed vertically as this adds strength to the bond. You also need to be sure of placement since the bond is immediate and difficult to remove. I did find it a bit difficult to remove the backing strip on the tape, but used my thumb nail to lift a corner and was able to pull the backing off. I also like that this tape is a clear color as it does not show once installed. I, personally, didn't notice any odor from the adhesive, but this would quickly dissipate if you do notice an odor. Although this tape is great for indoor and outdoor use, the weather proof quality for outdoor use is where it shines. It holds on any surface that you don't want to use screws for installation whether smooth or rough. I would definitely recommend this tape for permanent mounting indoors or outdoors. I really like this gorilla tape and have ordered it a few times. It seems like I use it for everything. I mostly use it out on my back porch, which is my little oasis. I recently purchased a photography background and used it on my back porch because I thought it was pretty. I used this double-sided tape to hang it up on the siding. I know that it will work well to hold up during all sorts of weather and temperatures. I moved into my apartment about a year and a half ago and I actually used this tape to hang up string lights on my fence. I had a couple pieces start to fall down after a year and a half that I recently replaced, but most of it is still holding up very well a year and a half is a long time outside in temperatures over 100°, direct sunlight every day, wild wind, tornadoes, & ice storms, etc. I’m going to add some pictures of my porch lights that are hung up using only this tape. Again, I’m kind of shocked that it has lasted a year and a half already. It is made of a thicker tape that stretches. On the package it also states that it holds up better, if you place the tape horizontally. A little piece goes along way. You don’t need to use big strips of this. I just use a little tiny pieces to hang up my lights. I would say about 1” x 1”. When unrolling the tape the side that has the plastic peeling on it, is the side that is more sticky. That is the side that I attached to the brick or siding or wall or whatever I’m attaching the tape to. Also, after cutting the strip of tape that you want, sometimes it can be difficult to peel off the plastic. A little trick I use is to use my thumbnail to pinch off a teeny tiny bit of the corner and then I stretch the tape and it will release at the corner enough to peel off the plastic. I like that this tape is clear and see-through and visually, people cannot really tell that I hung my lights with clear tape. On the included pictures I have used this tape on my lights up top, my lights on the edge of my fence, to hang up a backdrop, and on my curtains to attach the side of my curtains to the brick. Excellent value.

I used this to hang some stuff and it’s so strong it pulled drywall off. I wouldn’t use it in a rental or on drywall. Works great to hang things to tile or glass

I gave it four stars, because I recently purchased it and had to use it to put up my surround sound speakers that I have in my room! I previously bought a mound to put my speakers on, but it was too complicated and too much damn work! Like the directions I could not follow! I usually could follow directions perfectly and understand it and get it going automatically! But for some reason, the glue is helping more than the mound is! So as of right now, this glue is helping my speakers stay in place in my room! And it’s very sticky! Just make sure you know how much you’re using, and make sure nothing gets stuck to it besides what you want! I’m writing an update, I’ve been using it for my speakers that I have hanging on my wall. For some reason for one of my speakers, it keeps peeling off! Like I’ve already put like three layers of tape on one of my speakers, and that particular speaker it won’t hold! My other speaker is doing just fine with it, but my other one is not holding in place! All it does is fall! I’ve added 3 to 4 layers of this tape and that one speaker is not holding its place. As of right now, I don’t know what to do. It’s ridiculous!

I purchased the Gorilla Tough & Clear Double Sided Mounting Tape to tackle a few small projects around the house, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite go-to tools. The hold is impressive—I’ve used it to secure curtain rods and hang decorations and it hasn’t budged. What I really like is that it’s clear and virtually invisible once applied, so it doesn’t take away from the look of the item or wall. Unlike some mounting tapes I’ve tried in the past, this one doesn’t peel off easily or lose its grip after a few days. It feels durable and dependable. The one thing I’ll note is that it’s very strong, which is great for holding power but means you’ll want to be sure of placement before pressing it down—it’s not something you can easily reposition. Overall, I’m very impressed with the quality. It saves me from drilling holes or using nails, and it really does live up to the Gorilla brand’s reputation for toughness. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a reliable, invisible hold.

Good old Gorilla products........these stuff is great for all kinds of projects involving surface to surface adhesion.......very strong adhesion grip.......easy to use and reliable.
