Quality, blade sharpness and edge quality, the push handle to execute the final cut are all excellent. Good ergonomic design, can start your cuts from around ~2mm which is unparalleled because of which there is less wasteage/ more efficient use of ingredients. Overall a recommended purchase.

The slicer is very well built, not forgetting it is mostly plastic except for the blade. The food holder design could be improved as it slips at times with hard and round vegetables like potatoes which can be overcome by making first few slices by hand. The slicer does an amazing job slicing potatoes, which is its primary task in our home. The potato chips made from this slicer are lot better than store bought ones. We have stopped buying potato chips from the supermarket. If one is looking for buying a hand-held mandoline slicer, they should consider Oxo Good Grips notwithstanding it is one of the most expensive ones in the ​Indian market.

Good slicing. Only the holder coudve been more efficient in holding. Onions could be sliced without holder. Using the holder on bell peppers is tough. Overall - worth the price.

Simple design best performance

If you like slicing your ingredients, then this one is an excellent slicer. Each one has their own preferences, but OXO products are really good (read - 'high quality').

bought both _ mandolin slicer as well as julienne one by OXO.Quality is good. I use them quite frequently and thus never needed the holder- an old kitchen habit of mine. Best slicer among I used so far

Excellent slicer.... of fingers. The challenge is that the blade, while excellent, comes with a non-functional holder. The top of the mandoline -- the black knobby thing that is supposed to grip the fruit/vegetable -- doesn't grip ANYTHING! As a result, you hold that fruit/veg in your hand and then 20 seconds later -- zzzzzziipp: 3 different people have sliced their fingers deeply. Argh. Out this device went into the trash. So, for Oxo -- which prides itself in well designed products: THIS IS HORRIBLY DESIGNED.

This mandolin has made cutting vegetables for my dehydrator such a breeze Pros: -the blade is very sharp and cut through the veggies fast and efficiently - the handle on the part that helps hold your veggies in place is very comfortable on your hands. It has little spikes on it so that your veggie can stay in place as you slice through it - I appreciate the visual illustration to determine the size of a cut you would like for your veggies, as opposed to a numerical value. It is easier to see exactly how thick I would like something instead of guessing what it would look like. - the thickest setting (as shown in the last photo) is just big enough. -the handle locks into place on the mandolin so you do not lose it while it is in storage Happy with this mandolin!
