Crooked Mill Woodworking Nexus Pen Kits 10-Pack with Bushings (Gold)

Like a new improved Slim Line pen with a larger profile. How do you not like this pen at this price.

Perfect but make sure you use the bushings it comes with I made forgot to use them the first time and the center peice was really big compared to the rest of the pen

Pens turn out fine be sure to use the included bushings

If you just getting started on the lathe and want something to practice on, this is the way to go. Just don't expect to get any quality pens out of this kits.

Nexus Pen kits has a very good quality and this is my third time to buy it. Highly recommended. But don’t buy it from crooked mill website because I ordered a lot of pen kits and pen blanks since 2 & a half months and still I didn’t receive it. I tried to massage them through the website and the Email and still no reply. If you will order through Amazon go ahead, otherwise forget about it.

They twist mechanism didn’t seem to be as smooth as other. The pocket clip seemed weak, flimsy. Will select other types in the future.

A step up from the basic slimeline only a different center bushing to make for a thicker pen. I used these for acrylic blanks as they all look great with the chrome finish. My only caution is that the clip and cap do not sit flush with the standard end bushing you use. Give a little extra material on the cap end of the pen to get it to sit flush when assembling.

I've gone through 3 packs of these so far and they seem to function as expected. the tubes fit correctly and each pack is bagged appropriately. they aren't top of the line but a decent price if you're starting out.
