Works as expected
The last one like this wore out over time. This was a good replacement.I'll see how long it lasts.

Works great.
The siphon works the best for emptying the gas out of my Harley Davidson's gas tank so I can work on the motor. Easy to use and really does a great job. The price is very reasonable and it is easy to clean and store for the next job.

Luigi siphon pump (Amazon B06XKHP8Q4) description is misleading. To learn how to use, see review.
How to use: Liquid/Fuel Transfer Siphon Pump - Large Squeezing Syphon for Lawn Mowers & Manual Pumping Petrol, Water, Alcohol and more! (By Luigi's)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKHP8Q4/Shorter stiff tube (source tube) goes into source. Longer flexible tube (dispensing tube) goes into destination. There are two ways to use this siphon/pump. Advantage of priming is less squeezing/releasing bulb and liquid transfers much faster. Either way, first close cap on top of bulb. Also, if liquid is dangerous, wear safety glasses and gloves on both hands.1.) Manually.Repeatedly squeeze/release bulb. Depending upon how much bulb is squeezed, it might take 3 to 6 squeeze/release cycles before liquid starts to transfer. If after 8 to 10 squeeze/release cycles nothing is transferred, squeeze/release bulb faster, make sure cap on top of bulb is closed, and make sure source tube is in liquid. Once transfer starts, each time bulb is squeezed/released some liquid is transferred. Continue squeezing/releasing bulb until transfer is finished.NOTE: It may appear that weak siphon develops which then stops. This is not weak siphon. It is simply liquid running out of bulb, which is slow and takes some time.2.) Priming.WARNING: First read entire priming instruction before starting.Place finger over end of dispensing tube and do not remove finger until instructed to do so. Slowly squeeze/release bulb and let liquid fill dispensing tube. Repeat slowly squeeze/release bulb until dispensing tube is filled with liquid. Depending upon how much bulb is squeezed, it might take 10 to 15 squeeze/release cycles to fill dispensing tube. Slowly squeeze/release bulb one more time to make sure all air is gone. All air is gone (and therefore system is fully primed) when bulb becomes full of fluid, which makes it stiff and harder to squeeze. Remove finger from end of dispensing tube. Liquid is transferred via siphon.NOTE: During priming, finger is over end of dispensing tube, source tube is in liquid to transfer, and bulb is squeezed, which creates pressure. Do not squeeze bulb so fast that too much pressure builds up and liquid squirts out of siphon/pump seals and/or siphon/pump comes apart or breaks, squirting liquid everywhere, which could be harmful if liquid is dangerous. So slowly squeeze/release bulb until bulb becomes full and stiffer and harder to squeeze, at which time system is fully primed and you can remove finger from end of dispensing tube.

Did not work.
Did not work. Draws air and breaks suction. Suction tube is cut short of reaching the bottom of the fuel can. Discharge tube is short. Retainer clip for discharge hose is much smaller than the tube. I have used this type of transfer pump for many years, first I had a problem. Did not earn any stars, required to award one.

Perfect for draining my dog’s kiddie pool!
I bought this pump to empty my dog's kiddie pool every few days so it doesn't become a mosquito breeding ground. I'm lucky there's a downspout drain right next to his pool, so I leave the “output” end of the pump in the drain, and it works great. I did slip on about two feet of vinyl tubing from the hardware store to the "exhaust" side so it's comfortably below than where the water goes in, and the siphoning effect is strong. The extra tubing might not be needed if the drain opening were at ground level. When I need to drain the pool, I prime the pump with the squeeze part, and once it gets started, I just leave it alone for a few minutes and the pool is empty when I come back. At worst, maybe I have to dislodge a leaf and let it continue. Before I found this, I had to spill the pool far from a drain or bail out some water with a bucket and then drag it across the sidewalk. No fun.I'd found this pump at a hardware store a couple of years ago, and when it gave out recently (It lasted longer than I expected, given that it's out in the sun all summer.), I ordered a replacement on Amazon. I'd tried a couple of other handpumps - one with a bulb that didn't work well and another that is supposed to start siphoning when you shake it, which also didn't work well. I'm really glad to have found this and will definitely buy it again in a couple of years when the weather gets to it. I've probably used it at least a hundred times. It takes a little effort to prime the pump the very first time, maybe because I have the extension tubing, but after that it just takes a few squeezes to start it running. For what it's worth, I don't ever use the knob on the top. I think it stays in the "on" position, but maybe it's useful to clear out fluids like gasoline that you don't want to leave undrained, I don't know.

Much better than pump siphons.
These work much better than the rubber bulb pump siphons. Works with dirty water. Well worth the price.
