It's a real 6V DC motor
Some cr*p motors out there of this form factor claim to be "12V" or "6/12V" motors. However, they don't work well in deer feeders. If you have a 12V rig, get a big soup-can sized 12V motor, And if you need to replace a 6V motor, get this one.

I got a feeder an the motor with bad so I ordered this one every thing was fine till I went to mount it on the feeder no screws to be able to mount it to the base so people if u ordered this make sure u keep the old screws this motor doesn't have screws with it. Now I have to walk back off this mountain to fine screws that a half hour walk straight up mountain in ky
