I’ve bought 4 sets of these knives. They are perfect to start with, very sharp but that’s what you need. I would recommend buying gloves and tape so you don’t cut your fingers. Very nice set of knives.

I got this set for my dad and he loved it, he did say he ended up needed a few other tools not included along with wood that wasn't included. Bought this for my son who is just learning to carve/widdle. After doing some research, discovered this is a great brand to start off with. Durable, but not very expensive. I figured if he really likes carving, then he can invest in more expensive tools. These seem to be very durable and well built.
