Absolutely Fantastic!
I am thoroughly impressed with the Philips Satinelle Essential Epilator. This compact and corded device has exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly, it is incredibly easy to use and the ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold during hair removal sessions. The epilator effectively removes even the shortest of hairs, leaving my skin smooth and hair-free for weeks. What I appreciate the most is the efficiency; I can achieve salon-quality results in the comfort of my own home. Additionally, the epilator is easy to clean and maintain. I highly recommend the Philips Satinelle Essential Epilator to anyone looking for a reliable and effective hair removal solution.

Worth the money
Least painful epilator I’ve used. And the most effective!! Very pleased with the product and the price as usually I’ve paid much more

Very effective, very cheap, still painful
Pro:It's quick, very effective, easy to use, cheap, has a long cable so you're not hanging about near a socket to use it. Has a high speed mode that is much less painful than normal.Con:It's still massively, agonisingly painful, but if you're thinking of buying an epilator then you probably already know that. It's very loud making a metallic screaming noise, but that's ok because your screams will drown it out while using it.Thoughts:If you're looking for a pain free way to be a hairless goddess...I'm sorry but this ain't it, BUT, if you can stomach the pain (i.e. you want to use any kind of epilator) you won't find a better device to pull out your hair from what feels like your nerve endings.I'm a trans girl and use this almost every night doing small patches for however long I can stomach it. It works, it's a brilliant device, but the second I can download my brain into a perfectly hairless machine body I'll be glad to say goodbye to these horrible machines. Until then, this is your best bet!

Great product & not painful!!
Just used this for the first time and was expecting it to be painful, looking at other reviews. It actually isn't painful at all so I'm really pleased with this. Seems to be really effective too and good value for money.

Persevere (but doesn’t do a thorough job)
Update on previous review. I’ve used a few times now and each time has definitely been less painful but I’ve tried every technique I can find online and it does always leave hair behind. It seems to break off some like shaving leaving stubbly bits that I need to then shave over. I’m changing my rating because of this.Nice and easy to hold and use but no real instructions in box so if you’re a first timer (like me) I’d recommend a YouTube search to watch someone using it.I had a hot bath to open my pores, used a mild scrub and then dried fully before using.Holding at a 90° angle is the most efficient way, or so I read, and it worked for me.It sounds terrifying when you first turn it on which I think makes it more daunting! I had a glass or two of wine (highly recommend!) and started at my ankles in short, slow movements which seemed to work really well. I used my wrist as an anchor - sort of leant on my leg with my wrist to keep steady/guide it as it was jumping a little (I think because I had been in a hot bath they weren’t 100% moisture free). You might get the urge to go faster and along the whole leg just to get it over with but you’ll have to go over it again if you go too fast and you might break off longer hairs rather than pluck them.It was a little painful if I’m being honest but not as bad as I imagined, just smarts a bit on the longer hairs or the areas where there are more hairs - like lots of tweezers plucking hairs which is what it is really!I have been waxing my legs with strips but using up so many and definitely not getting the coverage so I’d have to shave afterwards to clear up the leftovers - you also can’t really go over the same area many times with wax as it can pull your skin but with this I kept going over until I couldn’t feel any hairs being plucked.Overall would definitely recommend - also remember to moisturise afterwards and keep exfoliating to avoid ingrown hairs.

fab little device
My legs have had laser removal but still have random patches here and there and now can't sort now as I have leg tattoos. I was really impressed with this as my first epilator and all the hairs it was pulling out had the hair follicle attached so I could see it's working and my legs were silky smooth after. I will try it on my under arms next and I'm confident it will work just as well. Yes this does cause some discomfort but I wouldnt say it's painful :)

Works fine
This works fine and pulls out the hair I need it to. It has two setting so you can have it faster or slower. It comes with a cable so that's nothing to worry about and it doesn't fill up with hair or anything. It is quite loud which is a bit annoying but not too bad. It's also got a very small window to pull hair out so it takes quite a while to get it all done.If someone is looking to use one of these for the first time I would say be prepared for it to hurt the first few times. Also I promise it isn't as scary and painful as it sounds because the machine definitely looks intimidating. U can honestly say that after you've done it a few times it will not hurt as much and will be much easier. If you stop using it for a long time you you will need to bring back up that pain resistance as it will hurt. I wouldn't say this is much worse than waxing especially in terms of legs and arms. For me I found it a lot easier to get used to this than wax and it's way more cost effective, all you need it to but the machine one time you don't need to buy anything else so it's great value for money. I would say my hair probably grows back at the same rate it would if I had waxed maybe a little hatter if I'm being honest but not much difference between the two
