if passion were just a scent, this would be it. sweet, smoldering, entrancing and divine

Sampled this when it first came out in about 1990. Modern formulations of almost all fragrances have diluted their power, projection and longevity and this is no exception, it's way weaker than vintage. But, the OG DNA is the still the same and it's lovely, a warm sweet winter scent, but not a sugary,. cloying gourmand modern sweetness. Easily unisex, this was arguably fem leaning, especially when first released (Polo green was hugely popular at the time) and a great value. It's not a gag inducing polarizing sweetness like Joop, which came out around the same time and is just a cloying and nasty mess that will clear a room. Instead this stuff is balanced and inoffensive. Opens with ripe spiced fruit, dries down to an awesome oriental sweetness without the overpowering spices prevalent in many of that style.
