Columbia Men's Everyday Comfort Casual Fabric Belt

Holds my pants up better than not a belt! It is a really nice belt for the price. At first the size seemed wrong because It was a little tight on the first hole, but after a few weeks I can get all the way to the third. It has broken in very nicely and is comfortable even when it rubs a little on my skin. No current complaints. 5 stars.

This belt fits nicely without feeling like it's cutting into your body. Perfect for those of us that change back and forth with our size. I have a 34" waste and bought the 34-36" belt. It fits well but now I'm buying the next larger size because it feels to close to the end of the belt and I like the belt to extend into the loops on the pants. Nice belt!

Nice overall quality for a casual belt, but isn't for a lot of work outside (i.e. working and sweating outside. Keep it for casual use and love it!!

Several years ago I received this belt as a gift from a friend. Over time the leather got softer and I liked the look. Unfortunately, I ruined the canvas on one side by carelessly adding a leather phone holster with a metal clip to the point that the canvas was frayed so badly people noticed. I tried to find the belt at the manufacturers web site but had no luck. Did a search on "leather and canvas men's belt" on AMAZON and there it was. So happy to find that it's still available. I bought 2 so I'm probably good for another decade.

I've always preferred cloth belts for hot climates. This one is a nice combo design -- a cloth belt with a contrasting leather (or is it "leather like") strip running around the outside. The belt appears to be decently made, although the stitching around the buckle looks like it will probably end up being the failure point -- rather than a full around-the-edge stitching, there are four big bar tacks. I don't expect the belt to last 20 years like my old LL Bean surcingle belt, but it's also cheaper, so there you have it. The problem with this belt is sizing. I initially followed the sizing instructions and ordered a belt 2 inches longer than my pants waist size. When it arrived, it was too long -- I could only use the first hole. So I returned that one and ordered one the same as my pants size. When it arrived, it was too short -- I could only use the last hole. Given that there's about a 4 inch spread between the first and last holes, this means the two belts were about 4 inches different in length -- the 34 was more like a 35, and the 32 was more like a 31, and neither one worked. I just went back and read some of the other reviews and found that others have had this same problem with sizing (OK, I admit that maybe I thought some of the other reviewers had gained a few pounds and didn't realize it -- I'm sorry for doubting them). Bottom line: Sizing on this belt is a bit random, and even though it appears to be available in 2" increments, the actual differences seem to vary, so you can't count on getting a belt that fits on your first or even second try. That's a shame, because it's a nice belt. And all of my other Columbia gear (especially their PFG line!) is fantastic -- smart designs and excellent quality.
