I bought a 4-pack of these belts, in different colors, so that I could match my various colors of clothing (and the 4-pack is less expensive per belt).I generally wear a rashguard over my swimsuit, when I go into the pool for water aerobics; but hated that said rashguard would billow upward to my armpits. I now strap on the black belt at my waist, over the shirt. Not only does it hold the rashguard in place, the belt appears to be chlorine-resistant; it hasn't faded at all, thru several hours in the swimpool!As for wearing with pants, etc., the belt is true to the advertising/ product description on Amazon.

It turns out the elastic belt didn't work for me. Pants kept falling down--it stretches (good), but doesn't contract and it becomes loose, and pants fall down.

The belts are too wide for some of my pants so it’s often hard gettingit on and off. I need to buy a smaller set. Rufus says 1.5 inches wide. Other than that, I love them.
