Update 4/1/24 Replacement part has been doing well, hopefully it continues!Maybe it was a flaw in just this product, but the part that tightens snapped during installation. It was definitely not overtightened. I will change this review if the replacement is not defective.

One thing to watch when you install these anti-sag devices is that the cheaper ones can be really "cheap". Thinner metal hooks won't hold. This one I bought definitely feels sturdier

I was surprised, but like one of the video reviews, it works surprisingly well! Great value compared to $80 solid rod type.

Purchased and Installed one to see if something this inexpensive would actually work for me. It is perfect. Much simpler and better than anticipated. Ordered a second item for our other fence gate... parts missing making it completely unusable. Amazon is replacing, but still.... Would rate 5-Stars if the second wasn't missing parts.

This is a perfect fix for a sagging gate. I used it on a vinyl gate and it worked great.

Best kit to keep your gate from drooping down with age.simple installation, easy to adjust, set it and forget it!I've used this before on 2 other gates and it's the most simplistic and easy to fumble with.

I'm one of those weird people that like to make sure my front garden gate is closed, it used to really bother me that 60-70% of the time I would look out of the living room window and the gate was just wide open either left open by the postman/woman, Amazon delivery drivers (that seems to come almost daily now) or my kids, it felt like I was forever having to go out and close the gate.Well no more!Bought this anti-sag gate kit along with a gate spring, fitted them both on the same day, it probably took me maybe 20-30 mins to install both, now my gate no longer sags or drags on the path, the anti-sag gate kit seem to work great so far, along with the fitted gate spring my front garden gate now closes effortlessly and without issue, was easy to install and does exactly what it is supposed to do.Now I look out of my window and the gate is closed 100% of the time, it makes me feel all warm inside.Just a heads-up, the wire is pretty long so if you are installing this anti-sag gate kit on a smaller front garden fence you may find that you have a lot of excess wire, I only had the plier style wire cutters but they just couldn't cut through so had to invest in bolt cutters to trim the wire down.

This works well for conventional pedestrian sized gates but wire is not long enough for wider gates. Of particular note though, the very limited instructions advise a 7/16 wrench is required for the wire clamps. In fact, a 7mm metric wrench required. This can be a time consuming error unless your metric tools are close by.

Great kit, easy to install & works well. I used two kits to raise two gates & was very pleased with the results
