Roses Brands - Butter Mints - Peppermint Candy, 4 lbs

These were delicious! They are larger than the Pastel Mints and they do have actual Butter in the ingredients. You can taste the difference if you have both “side by side”. But I’m not sure I would have known if there was a difference if I didn’t have some Pastels left to compare. I’m not a “butter” mint snob but from reading other reviews these could definitely be improved with MORE butter.They are definitely way more “messy” than the pastel mints. They are more…powdery?… Fingers are always left with a slight dusting of sugar that I did not notice at all with the Pastel mints and I ate those by the handful!All in all, these satisfied my craving and I would buy them again!

I tried another brand and it was too hard and the mint flavor was too strong. This is just right, like I remember from childhood. It's a mild minty buttery flavor, easy to bite open and then melts in your mouth. I'll definitely buy again.

These buttermints are my families favorite. They taste soo buttery and minty they are awesome. However, have you ever tried to put away 4lbs of buttermints?! Wow this is a huge bag of buttermints. We have been sending baggies of buttermints home with visitors for weeks. We just can’t get rid of them. Did I mention the bag holds 4lbs of danged buttermints?! It really is a huge bag and great value. You guys rock over at Richardson’s. Mmmm buttermints

Not much butter taste

If you’re looking for old-fashioned butter mints from the 1970s, these are not it. They do not have that smooth melt in your mouth texture. Hard and dry. They do not have the butter flavor. I guess they just don’t make them like they used to. Sorry I purchased them along with the last several bags I’ve ordered. I give up looking…..

These taste different than the buttermints in used to; however, they are sweet and buttery, so still much better than a lot of other options available on Amazon (especially those individually wrapped crap-mints that are just really strong mints). So these are worth a try if you are like me and looking for a sweet and buttery buttermint.

These seem to have the right texture and melt in your mouth. Maybe a little stronger minty than I'd like but pretty decent.The problem is that there's a strange smell to them. It's not rotten or harsh like a but it's hard to describe. It's just out of place and somewhat disagreeable in general. It's mild enough that I did eat them for a couple days when I was desperate with no other snacks around. But then each time opening the container, I got that smell, and eventually gave up and tossed them.Speaking of container, it doesn't have a zip seal, even though the print on the bag indicates it does.

This was the 3rd company I tried and finally I received what I was craving from my childhood. These are exactly the same as the butter mints from my youth. I absolutely loved them and I will be placing my 2nd order thus month. Highly recommend, peppermint is not overly done and they melted in my mouth.
